Follow Christ
Listen to Jesus

Hear the Archangel

Surrender Your Heart

Love

Share Joy

(June 30, 2000 7:37 AM CDT)

I made it back home last night at 11:45 PM,
so I will probably fall asleep at work today.
I went to a training class out of town.
Thanks for the prayers.

"Wherever Jesus put in an appearance,
in villages, in towns, or at crossroads,
they laid the sick in the market places and
begged him to let them touch
just the tassel of his cloak.
All who touched him got well."
Mark 6:56

Maybe you are tired (like me) today.
Maybe you are sick and not feeling well.
I ask Jesus to touch you today.
I ask him to bless you and lessen your pain.
God will give you strength.
He will help you through the day.
God be with you.

(June 25, 2000 7:25 AM CDT)

I will not be able to update this again
until June 30th.

"Jesus took the seven loaves and the fish,
and after giving thanks he broke them
and gave them to the disciples,
who in turn gave them to the crowds.
All ate until they were full.
When they gathered up the fragments left over,
these filled seven hampers.
The people who were fed numbered 4,000,
apart from women and children."
Matthew 15:36-38

Jesus fed over 4,000 people.
It was a miracle.
They were hungry and he blessed them with a gift.
The earth has over 6 billion people today.
All of them are hungry.
They need to be fed by Jesus.
Call on the power of Jesus Christ.
He wishes to bless all people.
Are you hungry?
God will bless you.
See what God can do for you.
Fill up a hamper.

(June 24, 2000 8:05 AM CDT)

"Jesus told Thomas:
'I am the way,
and the truth,
and the life;
no one comes to the Father but through me.
If you really knew me,
you would know my Father also.
From this point on you know him;
you have seen him.'"
John 14:6-7

Thomas saw Jesus in person.
He walked with him.
He spoke with him.
He ate with him.
Jesus and the Father are one.
They are persons of the Trinity.
There are 3 persons in one God.
They speak as one.
They act as one.
They are life in all its fullness.
They are oneness.
They are wholeness.
They are all truth.
Thomas asked, "How can we know the way?" (verse 5)
The Trinity (Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit) is the way.

(June 23, 2000 5:55 AM CDT)

"That is why every one of you
who judges another is inexcusable.
By your judgment you convict yourself,
since you do the very same things."
Romans 2:1

Do not judge others.
Don't say you are better than they are.
We are all sinners.
We all have failed.
We all need to be saved.
Jesus Christ comes to rescue us.
Receive him.
Do not convict yourself.
Be rescued.

(June 22, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

"Out of love,
place yourselves at one another's service.
The whole law has found its fulfillment
in this one saying:
'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Galatians 5:13-14

Live a life of love.
Care for your neighbor.
Be of service.
I see people building houses for the poor,
like Habitat for Humanity .
That is excellent!
Keep up the good work.
Do what you can.
Do what you should.
Help in any way that you can.
Love your neighbor.

(June 21, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

Way back on January 16, 2000 I talked about
going to Kearney, Nebraska to see
the arch over Interstate-80 .
Yesterday I got to see it.
It is worth stopping,
if you are driving across Nebraska.
It is very well done and worth seeing.
It is about 185 miles west of Omaha.

"Let your speech be always gracious
and in good taste,
and strive to respond properly to all
who address you."
Colossians 4:6

How do you talk to others?
Do you treat them with respect?
Do you "look down" on them?
Do you make eye contact with them?
All of us are children of God.
We are all brothers and sisters.
Speak to them as a friend.
Even if they have wronged you,
speak to them kindly.
Your speech gives you away.
This happens at sports events I understand.
There are people shouting at each other.
Is this you?

(June 20, 2000 6:05 AM CDT)

"The things that happened to them
serve as an example.
They have been written as a warning to us,
upon whom the end of the ages has come.
For all these reasons,
let anyone who thinks he (or she) is standing upright
watch out lest he (or she) fall!
No test has been sent you
that does not come to all men (or women)."
1 Corinthians 10:11-13

Testing is part of faith.
Tests are sent your way.
We are all tested.
Will you pass the test?
Do you have the discipline?
Have you prepared yourself?
Watch out.
Watch out or you will fall.
You have been given a warning.
Will you stand or will you fall?
Lean on the Lord.
Lean on grace from heaven above.
The Lord will keep you standing.
The Lord is your strength.
He is the reason you can stand.
Pass the test.
Remain standing.

(June 19, 2000 6:04 AM CDT)

"I do not run like a man
who loses sight of the finish line.
I do not fight as if I were shadowboxing.
What I do is discipline my own body and master it,
for fear that after having preached to others
I myself should be rejected."
1 Corinthians 9:26-27

Discipline must be part of your life.
You can't just sleep all day.
You can't be lazy.
Don't waste your life away.
Some of you are in a box.
Get out of the box.
Punch your way out.
The Lord has called you to work for him.
He needs you to be in top shape.
You need to be on your toes and alert.
Get into training.
Discipline yourself.
Put God first in your life.
God has picked you for the team.
Don't be rejected.
Do you see the finish line (the punch line)?
Get into shape.

(June 18, 2000 7:26 AM CDT)

Happy Fathers Day!
God bless all the fathers.

"Jesus could work no miracle there,
apart from curing a few who were sick
by laying hands on them,
so much did their lack of faith distress him.
He made the rounds of the neighboring villages instead,
and spent his time teaching."
Mark 6:5-6

Jesus was not accepted in his hometown of Nazareth.
They did not believe him.
They did not have faith in him.
This blocked the miracles.
It distressed Jesus.
What did he do?
He went to other villages.
Today Jesus visits your neighborhood.
Do you believe him?
Do you have faith in him?
Will Jesus stay in your neighborhood or go to another?
I pray that your faith will increase today.
I pray that you will trust Jesus more and more.
I pray for a miracle in your life today.
May you be healed in the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

(June 17, 2000 8:30 AM CDT)

"Train yourself for the life of piety,
for while physical training is to some extent valuable,
the discipline of religion is incalculably more so,
with its promise of life here and hereafter.
You can depend on this as worthy of complete acceptance."
1 Timothy 4:7-9

You are promised life.
You are promised life after death.
Trust in God's promises.
You need to be in training.
You need to be focused on your mission.
If you drift through life, you will miss it.
Seek God.
Seek goodness.
Be disciplined.
Accept God and his promises.
You can depend on God.

(June 16, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

I'm getting an Error 629 again this morning.
You'll have to wait a few hours to see this.

"'I am the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac,
the God of Jacob.'
He is the God of the living,
not of the dead."
Matthew 22:32

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are alive.
They lived hundreds of years ago.
They died a long time ago.
But Jesus said they are alive in heaven.
Do you believe in heaven?
Do you believe in life without end?
It is true.
Life goes on.
Death is not the end.
You need faith in Jesus.
Trust in him for eternal life.
Be alive hundreds of years from now in heaven.

(June 15, 2000 6:06 AM CDT)

Happy Birthday, Jeff!
(He is the DJ on KGBI 100.7 FM in the morning.)
God bless you!

"Thus will I bless you while I live;
lifting up my hands,
I will call upon your name.
As with the riches of a banquet
shall my soul be satisfied,
and with exultant lips my mouth shall praise you."
Psalms 63:5-6

Lift up your hands.
Praise the Lord.
Come to the banquet.
You are invited.
Join heaven and earth in praise to our God.
Your soul will be satisfied.
You will be blessed.
Praise God today.

(June 14, 2000 6:02 AM CDT)

"Day and night, without pause, they sing:
' Holy, holy, holy , is the Lord God Almighty,
He who was, and who is, and who is to come!'"
Revelation 4:8

Give praise to God today.
Honor him.
Give glory to God Almighty.
He is worthy of all our praises.
Praise the Lord in the morning.
Praise him at night.
Sing songs of praise.

(June 13, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

"An angel of the Lord
then addressed himself to Philip:
'Head south toward the road
which goes from Jerusalem to Gaza ,
the desert route.'
Philip began the journey."
Acts 8:26

The Holy Spirit told Philip to head south.
Philip was to go and help someone reading the Bible.
The person reading the Bible did not understand.
Philip explained the meaning to the reader.
The Lord addresses you.
He tells you to go help someone.
Are you listening?
Do you follow the directions of the Spirit?
Do you gaze on the wonders of the Lord?
Share what you know.
It could be at school, work or home.
Help others on the road.
Begin the journey.

(June 12, 2000 6:02 AM CDT)

It is raining right now.
That should help our drought a little.
Thank the Lord.

Pray for Patricia that has cancer.
God be with her and her family.

Jesus said,
"The heavens and the earth will pass away
but my words will not pass away."
Matthew 24:35

One day the earth will be gone.
The sun will die.
But the words of Jesus Christ will stand forever.
His promises will last for all generations.
His mercy and forgiveness are there for all time.
Treasure his words.
Believe in his words.
Base your life on his words.
Read the words of Jesus in the Bible.

(June 11, 2000 6:59 AM CDT)

Could you pray for Josephine?
Her right foot is hurting.
Thanks.

"All were filled with the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:4

It is Pentecost Sunday today.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit.
If you do not have the Holy Spirit,
ask Jesus to send the Spirit to you.

"I will ask the Father
and he will give you another Paraclete (Counselor)---
to be with you always:
the Spirit of truth..."
John 14:16-17

You are not alone.
The Spirit of God is with you.
He will lead you to the truth.
You need the Holy Spirit.

(June 10, 2000 7:51 AM CDT)

Many people have come to Omaha for the
College World Series .
Welcome to town.
God bless all of them.

"It is owing to his favor
that salvation is yours through faith.
This is not your own doing,
it is God's gift;
neither is it a reward
for anything you have accomplished..."
Ephesians 2:8-9

You can't earn heaven.
Heaven is a free gift.
You just ask sincerely.
You ask Jesus into your heart.
God grants you favor.
You are special.
You are given special privileges.
He is calling you to faith in him.
It is free for the asking.
You can't make it to heaven by yourself.
You need Jesus Christ.

(June 9, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

Yesterday Peter Lowe was sharing about
when he made a commitment to Jesus Christ.
He made it over 20 years ago.
Have you made a commitment to Jesus Christ?
Many speakers said, "God bless you".

"I send my messenger before you
to prepare your way:
a herald's voice in the desert, crying,
'Make ready the way of the Lord,
clear him a straight path.'"
Mark 1:2-3

John the Baptist came first.
He spoke out.
He made an announcement.
He was the messenger.
Then came Jesus.
He was the message.
He was good news in the desert of life.
He was life.
He is life.
John was committed.
Jesus was committed.
Are you committed?
Commit your life to Jesus.
God bless you.

(June 8, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

Today I will be attending the
"Success 2000" seminar in downtown Omaha.
I've never been to one before.
It should be interesting.
I've listened to some tapes from them
and they use things right out of the Bible.
They talk about honesty and trust.

"Trust in the Lord and do good,
that you may dwell in the land and enjoy security."
Psalms 37:3

Security comes from the Lord.
Trust him.
He has promised to dwell with you.
He will teach you.
Be honest with others.
Tell them the truth.
Be fair with them.
Follow the ways of the Lord.
He will bless you.

(June 7, 2000 6:06 AM CDT)

"Help us, O God our savior,
because of the glory of your name;
Deliver us and pardon our sins
for your name's sake."
Psalms 79:9

We call on the name of the Lord.
Help us, Lord Jesus.
You are our Savior.
Come and save us today.
Rescue us from our sins.
Forgive us, Lord.
We need you.
We love you.
We give glory to your name.

(June 6, 2000 6:03 AM CDT)

"I charge you to keep God's command
without blame or reproach
until our Lord Jesus Christ shall appear.
This appearance God will bring to pass
at his chosen time.
He is the blessed and only ruler,
the King of kings and Lord of lords..."
1 Timothy 6:14-15

Yes, Jesus will return.
He will come in glory.
He is the King.
He is the only king.
He is the Lord.
Look forward to his return.
Be blessed.
Prepare your heart to welcome the Lord.
He will return.
"To him be honor and everlasting rule! Amen." (Verse 16)

(June 5, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

Yesterday I drove through Gretna, Nebraska .
It is about 5 or 10 miles west of Omaha
(Omaha keeps growing west).
They are building a new church there (St. Patrick).
You can see the "ribs" of the structure.
There are no walls yet.
God bless all the people in Gretna.

Jesus said,
"No servant can serve two masters.
Either he will hate the one and love the other
or be attentive to the one and despise the other.
You cannot give yourself to God and money."
Luke 16:13

Do you like money?
Do you love money?
Do you think about it all the time?
How much does it mean to you?
Jesus asks you to serve him.
Give your attention to God.
Think about God.
Pray to him.
Put money in its proper place.
It is to be used for building God's kingdom.
God sees right through you.
He sees what you are made of.
He sees your heart (maybe a rib or two).
Give all that you are to God.
Serve him.

(June 4, 2000 7:22 AM CDT)

"The love of Christ impels us
who have reached the conviction
that since one died for all, all died.
He died for all so that those who live
might live no longer for themselves,
but for him
who for their sakes died and was raised up."
2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Christ died for us.
He set the example.
He gave up everything, even his life.
We should follow him.
Live for Christ.
Give everything to him.
Surrender all.
Do the will of God.
Then you will find true happiness.
True joy is yours.

(June 3, 2000 7:27 AM CDT)

"Only goodness and kindness follow me
all the days of my life;
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
for years to come."
Psalms 23:6

This morning I was trying to think
of all the things to be thankful for.
The list goes on and on.
Get out a piece of paper
and write them all down.
The Lord is good.
He is kind.
One day we will dwell in the house of the Lord.
Forever.
Amen.

I watched the webcast last night of Billy Graham in Nashville.
He said his back is hurting,
so pray for him to be healed.

(June 2, 2000 5:58 AM CDT)

"Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:"
--- "Charge of the Light Brigade" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson
The charge took place on October 25th, 1854
during the Crimean War.
Many people lost their lives because of a mistake.

Jesus said,
"It is the will of him who sent me
that I should lose nothing of what he has given me;
rather, that I should raise it up on the last day."
John 6:39

Jesus does not want you to lose your life.
He sees you charging into danger.
He wants to save you from death.
Will you follow Jesus?
What is your reply?
Will you listen to reason?
What will you do?
What will happen to you on the last day?

(June 1, 2000 5:54 AM CDT)

Billy Graham is in Nashville, Tennessee
this week for a crusade.
You can listen to it on the web at
webcast.billygraham.org .
Pray for a harvest of souls.

Jesus said,
"The invited are many,
the elect are few."
Matthew 22:14

You are invited.
Jesus invites you.
Come and see.
See what God has done.
See what God will do.
But will you follow Christ?
Will you elect to give your life to Christ?
Time is short.
Now is the hour.
Make your decision for Christ today.
Don't say that you'll wait until you are older.
Today is the day to receive Christ.
Follow him.
Are you one of the few?
