July, 2000

Save us Lord Jesus
God is good

Holy Spirit inspire us

Jesus is light

The lost will be found

Christ is truth

(July 31, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"It is the will of him who sent me
that I should lose nothing of what he has given me;
rather, that I should raise it up on the last day.
Indeed, this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who looks upon the Son
and believes in him shall have eternal life.
Him (or her) I will raise up on the last day."
John 6:39-40

The Lord invites everyone to heaven.
He invites you.
He wants all to be with him forever.
He does not want to lose anyone.
He wants all to be found.
That is the will of God the Father.
The Son (Jesus Christ) invites all to the table.
I was trying to explain to my nephew yesterday
about the end of the world.
He did not believe that the world would end.
It will happen one day.
Your days on earth are numbered.
You only get so many.
Come to the Son.
Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.
He will raise you up on the last day.

(July 30, 2000 7:30 AM CDT)

"In you, O Lord, I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
In your justice rescue me, and deliver me;
incline your ear to me, and save me.
Be my rock of refuge,
a stronghold to give me safety,
for you are my rock and my fortress."
Psalms 71:1-3

Christ is the rock.
He is the fortress.
The storms my come and go,
but he is always there.
He is safety.
He is shelter.
He is our refuge.
Praise the Lord.
Thank you, Jesus.

(July 29, 2000 8:15 AM CDT)

I just listened to the start of the press conference at
Amsterdam, 2000 from yesterday.
The webcasts will be available for 6 months
for you to listen to them.
Pray for all the people there today.
God bless every one of them.

Jesus said,
"Full authority has been given to me
both in heaven and on earth;
go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations.
Baptize them in the name
of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Teach them to carry out everything
I have commanded you.
And know that I am with you always,
until the end of the world!"
Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus Christ is with us.
He will help us to spread the word.
He stands with us.
He wants us to succeed.
He wants to be part of our lives.
The Holy Trinity blesses our efforts.
We take a tiny step and God gives the increase.
Be a disciple.
Be a witness.
Tell others about the love of God.
Jesus is the one.
There is no other.

(July 28, 2000 5:55 AM CDT)

"God had made a better plan,
a plan which included us."
Hebrews 11:40

You are part of the plan.
You are in the plan.
God expects you to do your part.
Live the life of faith.
Live a joyful life.
Do what the Lord asks of you.
Listen to the Lord for instructions.
Plan for tomorrow.
Plan for eternity.
There is a better way.
It is the way that leads to heaven.

(July 27, 2000 5:52 AM CDT)

"You are the body of Christ.
Every one of you is a member of it.
Furthermore, God has set up in the church
first apostles,
second prophets,
third teachers,
then miracle workers,
healers,
assistants,
administrators,
and those who speak in tongues.
Are all apostles?
Are all prophets?
Are all teachers?
Do all work miracles or have the gift of healing?
Do all speak in tongues,
all have the gift of interpretation of tongues?
Set your hearts on the greater gifts."
1 Corinthians 12:27-31

You are it.
You are part of the body.
You are on the team.
You must do your part.
No one can do your calling.
It is your mission.
Pray over the sick, if that is your gift.
Not every one can work a miracle.
We all have different gifts from God.
Use your gifts.
Teach the next generation, if that is your gift.
Speak up.
If you know a foreign language,
share your faith with them.
Do your part.

(July 26, 2000 5:56 AM CDT)

"The people carried the sick into the streets
and laid them on cots and mattresses,
so that when Peter passed by
at least his shadow might fall on one or another of them.
Crowds from the towns around Jerusalem would gather, too,
bringing their sick and those
who were troubled by unclean spirits,
all of whom were cured."
Acts 5:15-16

Come and see.
Come and be healed.
May the light of Christ fall upon you.
Come with excitement and expect a miracle.
Join the noisy crowd.
God wants to bless you.
He wants you to be made whole.
He wants to touch your soul.
If you are sick, be made well.
If your spirit is down, be lifted up.
If you can't walk, stand up tall.
Be healed in the name of Jesus.
This I pray for you today.

(July 25, 2000 5:53 AM CDT)

Jesus said to them,
"Recall those words I spoke to you
when I was still with you:
everything written about me
in the law of Moses and the prophets
and psalms had to be fulfilled."
Luke 24:44

There is an order to things.
Jesus Christ came in the "fullness of time."
He fulfilled a mission to save us.
The Old Testament points to Christ.
All things point to him.
All creation reflects his glory.
He is the central theme of time.
Find him and you find meaning to life.
He is all the hope and dreams
that we could ever wish for.

(July 24, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

This morning on the radio
they are requesting prayers for Amsterdam, 2000 .
It will be webcast July 29 to August 6.
God bless their efforts to spread the gospel.

Jesus told them:
"Go into the whole world
and proclaim the good news to all creation.
The man (or woman) who believes in it
and accepts baptism will be saved;
the man (or woman) who refuses to believe in it
will be condemned."
Mark 16:15-16

The message of Christ is good news to you.
Accept this message of hope.
Receive baptism and receive new life.
Believe in Christ.
Do not reject the message.
Do not reject Christ.
He is your only hope.
He is the only way to heaven.
Believe in him.
Ask him to forgive your sins today.
Lord, forgive me.
Lord, save me.
I believe in you.

(July 23, 2000 7:23 AM CDT)

"You can depend on this
as worthy of full acceptance:
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."
1 Timothy 1:15

He came for a reason.
He was sent to us.
He came to save us.
Thank you to Christ Jesus
who has saved us from death.
Thank you for coming to us.
Thank you for giving us hope.
You are all that we need.
You are more than we can imagine.
Thank you for saving us.
We praise and thank you, Lord.

(July 22, 2000 7:55 AM CDT)

It was a beautiful sunrise this morning.
Did you see it at 6:35 AM?
(The picture of Bailey, Colorado (2) says it all.)

"The wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

Will you live or will you die?
Death is there.
Life is there.
Choose life.
Choose eternal life.
Be with Christ forever.
Now that is something to behold!
See the Son of God rise.
See his face each day.
Live with him.
Be with him.
Choose life.

(July 21, 2000 5:58 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"Anyone who hears my words
but does not put them into practice
is like the foolish man
who built his house on sandy ground.
The rains fell, the torrents came,
the winds blew and lashed against his house.
It collapsed under all this and was completely ruined."
Matthew 7:26-27

Yes, the rain will come.
The flood will come.
The wind will blow.
Will you be ready?
Are you prepared?
Jesus says to build on solid ground.
Without him all will collapse.
Build your life on Jesus (the rock).
You read his words.
Let them change you.
You see what he has done.
Follow his example.
Will your house still be standing after the rain?

(July 20, 2000 5:55 AM CDT)

"Happy they who dwell in your house!
continually they praise you.
Happy the men (or women) whose strength you are!
their hearts are set upon the pilgrimage.
When they pass through the valley of the mastic trees,
they make a spring of it;
the early rain clothes it with generous growth.
They go from strength to strength..."
Psalms 84:5-8

Are you happy?
Are you strong?
Are you on a pilgrimage?
Come and see the wonders of our God.
He is all joy.
He is all strength for the journey.
Let the rain pour down.
Soak up the graces and blessings.
See the majestic valley.
See the growth.
It is all there for you.
"How lovely is your dwelling place..." (verse 2)

(July 19, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

"Hence, all depends on faith,
everything is grace."
Romans 4:16

How strong is your faith?
Everything depends on your faith.
Do you trust God?
Do you trust his promises?
Do you lean on him?
Have faith in God.
Today receive grace from heaven above.
Let it come into your soul.
Let it change you.
Open your soul today.
Receive God's gifts.

(July 18, 2000 5:59 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"This is an evil age.
It seeks a sign.
But no sign will be given it
except the sign of Jonah.
Just as Jonah was a sign for the Ninevites,
so will the Son of Man be a sign
for the present age."
Luke 11:29-30

Do you look for signs?
Will you meet someone?
Will an accident take place?
Will you receive a message?
Are you waiting for something to happen?
What are you looking for?
The sign has already been given.
The signal is there.
It is Jesus on the cross.
He loves you that much.
The sign says: "I love you."
He cares that much for you.
The sign is a message of love.
Read the sign.

(July 17, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

The corn is getting very tall now.
You can watch the corn grow in Prairieburg, Iowa
on the Corn Cam .
I went on a ride to Red Oak, Iowa yesterday.
Yes, the corn is growing fast.

"Dearly beloved,
we are God's children now;
what we shall later be has not yet come to light.
We know that when it comes to light
we shall be like him,
for we shall see him as he is."
1 John 3:2

Yes, to see the Lord...
we look forward to that...
to meet Jesus face to face.
We want to see the light.
It is the light of God.
Until that day we wait.
We wait as children.
We wonder what he will look like.
We want to see our Father.
We are his beloved.
We belong to him.
We want to see him.

(July 16, 2000 7:42 AM CDT)

"They claim to 'know God,'
but by their actions
they deny that he exists."
Titus 1:16

Actions speak louder than words.
Do your actions speak for you?
Do you follow Christ?
Is he the one you proclaim?
Go to church today and proclaim God.
Bring someone with you.

(July 15, 2000 7:10 AM CDT)

"One thing I ask of the Lord; this I seek:
To dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
That I may gaze on the loveliness of the Lord
and contemplate his temple."
Psalms 27:4

Have confidence in God.
He can do what he promises.
He is an awesome God.
He is something to gaze at.
Dwell on the Lord.
He is amazing (grace).
He is beautiful.
He is a builder.
Come visit the house of the Lord.
Stay with him a while.
Talk to him.
Share with him.
See a new dawn.
It is a new day.
Visit the Lord.

(July 14, 2000 6:00 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"I have spoken publicly to any who would listen.
I always taught in a synagogue
or in the temple area
where all the Jews come together.
There was nothing secret about anything I said."
John 18:20

Jesus presents the truth to you.
He speaks openly.
It is not hidden.
It is available to all people not just a select few.
You can buy a Bible and read it easily.
You can find many Christian resources on the Internet.
There is Christian radio and TV stations.
There are Bible studies in schools.
You can go to a Christian church of your choice
and hear the message of Jesus Christ.
It is there for you.
The truth is there in the open for all to see.
Some will receive the message openly (hopefully you).
Some will reject the message or ignore it.
It is there in the open.
It is not a secret.
The truth is there for all to see.

(July 13, 2000 5:53 AM CDT)

"Grace to you and peace
from God our Father and
from the Lord Jesus Christ."
Philemon 1:3

What more could you ask for?
God has given you grace.
He has blessed you with his peace.
You should rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is all that you need.
He is most generous.
He is most kind.
Be thankful.
Be grateful.
Our God is wonderful.

(July 12, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

"Rejoice with those who rejoice,
weep with those who weep."
Romans 12:15

Be present to others.
Listen to them.
Don't change the subject.
Listen.
Comfort them when they are hurting.
Rejoice with them in the good times.
Christ wants you to be near them.
Share their life.
Share your life.

(July 11, 2000 6:04 AM CDT)

Could you pray for Mark that hurt his back?
He needs healing.
Thanks.

"Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
serve the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
Know that the Lord is God;
he made us, his we are;
his people, the flock he tends."
Psalms 100:1-3

There is only one God.
We are his people.
We follow him.
We obey him.
We worship him.
There is joy.
There is joy from knowing God.
He fills our hearts with joy.
We sing a song of joy.

(July 10, 2000 5:57 AM CDT)

"We are truly his handiwork,
created in Christ Jesus
to lead the life of good deeds
which God prepared for us in advance."
Ephesians 2:10

Do good.
Do the will of God.
He asks much of you.
He wants you to advance.
He has created you.
You are special.
You are beautiful.
You are made by God.
Be handy.

(July 9, 2000 7:27 AM CDT)

"See, I write to you
in my own large handwriting!"
Galatians 6:11

What would it look like, if God wrote you a letter?
Would the paper be bright white with gold letters?
Would your first name be on the envelope with no address?
Would a stranger (maybe an angel) deliver it to you in person?
The Lord has written to you.
The letter is called the Bible.
Do you read his letter?
Do you treasure his words?
Read his letter.
Be blessed.
Be inspired.

(July 8, 2000 8:10 AM CDT)

Promise Keepers is on the radio today.
In Omaha it's on KGBI FM 100.7 .
Pray for all the people there in Dallas, Texas.
God bless them.
You can listen to it live on the Internet at
KGNZ 88.1 in Abilene, Texas or
KCBI 90.9 in Dallas, Texas.
Click on the "Listen Live" to hear it on either of these links.

Jesus said,
"Blest are they who hunger and thirst for holiness;
they shall have their fill."
Matthew 5:6

Are you hungry?
Are you hungry for holiness?
Check yourself.
Do you seek the Lord with all your heart?
Come.
Come see what God has for you.
You will be blessed.
You will be changed.

(July 7, 2000 5:58 AM CDT)

"The servant girl, keeping an eye on Peter,
started again to tell the bystanders,
'This man is one of them.'
Once again he denied it."
Mark 14:69-70

Do you admit that you are Christian?
Do you tell others that you know Christ?
Do you keep quiet?
Do you deny it?
You can deny Christ by what you say or do.
You can deny Christ by what you don't say or don't do.
Tell the bystanders.
Admit it.

(July 6, 2000 5:56 AM CDT)

In the last few weeks the name of my bank changed.
The name of my cellular phone company changed.
The company I work for merged with another company
and changed their name.
Doesn't anything stay the same?
Change is difficult.

"In you, O Lord, I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame.
In your justice rescue me,
incline your ear to me,
make haste to deliver me!
Be my rock of refuge,
a stronghold to give me safety.
You are my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake you will lead and guide me."
Psalms 31:1-4

The Lord is there forever.
He is a fortress.
He is a rock.
He is there to deliver you.
The world is constantly changing.
The world is passing away.
The name of the Lord remains forever.
Jesus is Lord.
He is there to guide you.
He is there to rescue you.
He is there forever.

(July 5, 2000 7:24 AM CDT)

"Humbly welcome the word
that has taken root in you,
with its power to save you.
Act on this word.
If all you do is listen to it,
you are deceiving yourselves."
James 1:21-22

Your life should be different.
When you meet Christ your life should change.
If you read the words of Christ,
you should be a new creation.
Listen to God's words and act on them.
His words are power and life.
Welcome the word.

(July 4, 2000 6:00 AM CDT)

Happy 4th of July.

Jesus said,
"I tell you,
there will likewise be more joy in heaven
over one repentant sinner
than over 99 righteous people
who have no need to repent."
Luke 15:7

Repent means to be sorry for your sins.
It means to turn around.
You turn toward God.
There is joy in heaven today.
God will forgive you, if you ask.
Receive peace.
Know that Christ is by your side to help you.
You do not walk alone.
Be forgiven.
Receive joy.
(Note: I wrote about this same verse
back on May 5th, 2000 .
God wants to forgive you.
He will not give up.
Will you give your heart to him?)

(July 3, 2000 6:00 AM CDT)

Last week on June 27th I saw the Moffat Tunnel .
It is a 6.2 mile railroad tunnel through the mountains
that exits at Winter Park, Colorado.

Jesus said,
"If you forgive the faults of others,
your heavenly Father will forgive you yours.
If you do not forgive others,
neither will your Father forgive you."
Matthew 6:14-15

Forgive.
You need to forgive.
Jesus tells you to forgive.
Will you forgive everyone that has hurt you?
Forgive.

(July 2, 2000 8:21 AM CDT)

You know what?
I think I'm still in another time zone.
I'm still one hour behind.
That's what happens when you take a trip.

A friend sent me this animation .

"The grace of God has appeared,
offering salvation to all men (and women).
It trains us to reject godless ways
and worldly desires, and live temperately,
justly, and devoutly in this age
as we await our blessed hope,
the appearing of the glory of the great God
and of our Savior Christ Jesus."
Titus 2:11-13

Reject the ways of the world.
They are empty.
They give you no lasting happiness.
This age is passing away.
Seek God.
Seek the way of holiness.
Seek justice.
Devoutly pray to God.
Live in blessed hope.
Jesus will appear one day in glory.

(July 1, 2000 8:42 AM CDT)

"I will give thanks to you, O Lord,
with all my heart;
I will declare all your wondrous deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, Most High,
Because my enemies are turned back,
overthrown and destroyed before you."
Psalms 9:1-4

We thank you, Lord.
With all our hearts we praise you.
We bless you.
We lift up your name on high.
You are to be praised.
We honor you.
You are almighty.
You are holy.
We praise you, Lord.
You give us victory over our enemies (sin).
You make us holy.
Thank you, Lord.
