God Bless You
Jesus is the Resurrection

See New Life

Love Your Neighbor

Stand Strong in Your Faith

Thank God

(March 31, 2002 7:17 AM CST)

Happy Easter!
Jesus has risen from the dead.
He is alive.

The angel spoke, addressing the women:
"Do not be frightened.
I know you are looking for Jesus the crucified,
but he is not here.
He has been raised, exactly as he promised.
Come and see the place where he was laid.
Then go quickly and tell his disciples:
'He has been raised from the dead
and now goes ahead of you to Galilee,
where you will see him.'
That is the message I have for you."
Matthew 28:5-7

Jesus is alive.
He overcame death.
He is amazing.
Because of him we have hope.
He promises us eternal life.
That is the message.
Go quickly and tell someone.

(March 30, 2002 6:36 AM CST)

"This man approached Pilate with a request for Jesus' body.
He took it down, wrapped it in fine linen,
and laid it in a tomb hewn out of the rock,
in which no one had yet been buried."
Luke 23:52-53

Jesus died.
Joseph of Arimathea took him down from the cross.
Jesus was placed in a tomb.
It could have been the end of the story.
People would have forgot about him.
But Jesus had a surprise for his family and friends.
He is more powerful than death.
The grave cannot hold him.
What will happen next?
What is his next surprise?

(March 29, 2002 6:13 AM CST)

Today is Good Friday.
We remember that Jesus died for us.
Thank you, Jesus.

"When they came to Skull Place, as it was called,
they crucified him there and the criminals as well,
one on his right and the other on his left.
Jesus said,
'Father, forgive them;
they do not know what they are doing.'"
Luke 23:34

Forgiveness is there.
It was there at the cross.
Jesus forgave those who hurt him.
It continues today.
Ask Jesus to forgive your sins.
Do you know what you are doing?
Lord Jesus, forgive us.

(March 28, 2002 6:09 AM CST)

Yesterday I bought the CD
Worship by Michael W. Smith .
I really like track #7 Breathe.
Take a listen.

"A servant girl saw Peter sitting in the light of the fire.
She gazed at him intently, then said,
'This man was with him.'
He denied it, saying,
'Woman, I do not know him.'"
Luke 22:56-57

Do you admit it?
Do you admit that you know Jesus?
Admit it.

(March 27, 2002 6:13 AM CST)

"As Jesus approached the gate of the town (Naim)
a dead man was being carried out,
the only son of a widowed mother.
A considerable crowd of townsfolk were with her.
The Lord was moved with pity upon seeing her and said to her,
'Do not cry.'
Then he stepped forward and touched the litter;
at this, the bearers halted.
He said, 'Young man, I bid you get up.'
The dead man sat up and began to speak."
Luke 7:12-15

A miracle...it is a miracle.
Jesus can bring the dead back to life.
He is the author of life.
He says not to cry.
He is joy in the midst of sorrow.
He touches your life.
He commands you to get up.
Continue the effort.
Speak up after Jesus touches you.
Jesus is new life.

(March 26, 2002 6:13 AM CST)

"Your ways, O Lord, make known to me;
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior,
and for you I wait all the day."
Psalms 25:4-5

Give us your wisdom, Lord.
We seek the truth.
Guide us.
Lead us.
You are our teacher.
Reveal the path that leads to you.

(March 25, 2002 6:12 AM CST)

Jesus said,
"Be sure of this:
if the owner of the house knew
when the thief was coming
he would keep a watchful eye
and not allow his house to be broken into.
You must be prepared in the same way."
Matthew 24:43-44

That sounds obvious, but do we do this?
Do we prepare for attack?
Are our defenses strong?
Are we watching?
Have we said our prayers?
Are we close to the Lord?
Lord Jesus, prepare us for the battle.
Be with us.
Make our defenses strong.

(March 24, 2002 6:50 AM CST)

Today is Palm Sunday.
We begin Holy Week.
We recall all that Jesus did for us.
We recall his suffering, death and resurrection.
May this be a week of many blessings for you.

"The huge crowd spread their cloaks on the road,
while some began to cut branches from the trees
and lay them along his path.
The groups preceding him as well as
those following kept crying out:
'Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!'
As he entered Jerusalem
the whole city was stirred to its depths, demanding,
'Who is this?'
And the crowd kept answering,
'This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.'"
Matthew 21:8-11

You see this huge crowd of people.
You hear the shouting.
You draw near to see what is going on.
It is a joyful crowd.
They are shouting praises to God.
Jesus is the center of attention.
Come and take a closer look.
Follow him along.
You wonder who this is.
Who is this Jesus?
Why are all these people shouting?

(March 23, 2002 9:23 AM CST)

Yesterday a person ran a red light right in front of me.
It was 4:47 PM CST at 24th Ave and St. Mary's Ave in Omaha.
I was southbound on the one-way 24th Ave.
The other person in the red pickup truck was westbound
on the one-way St. Mary's Ave.
The light had just turned green for me and I entered the intersection.
I was watching the driver in the truck.
He was looking to his left and not watching where he was going.
I honked my horn and slammed on the brakes.
He looked my way finally, but did not stop.
I stopped and he went in front of me missing by a few feet.
He went through the entire intersection thankfully missing everyone.
Would you pray for him?
He needs help.
Today I'm looking both ways at intersections several times and
keeping my distance from other cars.
The experience did scare me.
I don't want to think about what would have happened
had the air bags gone off in my car.
I want to thank God for protecting me from harm.
Yes, thank you, Lord Jesus.

"I am sure of this much:
that he who has begun the good work in you
will carry it through to completion,
right up to the day of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 1:6

Work with the Lord.
Don't try to make it on your own.
You need the Lord's help.
Continue your efforts until the Lord comes again.
He started it.
He will complete it.
It will be accomplished.
Be sure of this.

(March 22, 2002 6:14 AM CST)

"O God, by your name save me..."
Psalms 54:3

Call on the name of Jesus today.
Jesus, come and save me.
I am lost.
I need your help.
Save me, Lord.
I give my life to you.

(March 21, 2002 6:10 AM CST)

It's spring.
Spring back to life with Jesus.

Jesus said,
"Give to Caesar what is Caesar's,
but give to God what is God's."
Mark 12:17

Pay your taxes.
Don't cheat on your tax statement.
Support your local church.
Give to the poor.
Set aside time each day to pray.
Give some of your time to others.
Thank the Lord for all that he gives to you.

(March 20, 2002 6:10 AM CST)

"We pray for you always
that our God may make you worthy of his call,
and fulfill by his power
every honest intention and work of faith."
2 Thessalonians 1:11

Work with the Lord.
Let the Lord lead you.
He calls you to do great things.
Be led by the Holy Spirit.
Pray always.
God bless your work.

(March 19, 2002 6:15 AM CST)

"For our God is a consuming fire."
Hebrews 12:29

Come close and see.
Our God will burn up the bad things.
Evil will be driven away.
He wants to change us.
He wants to mold us and purify us.
Come close and be touched by the living God.
He is holy.
He is pure.
Change us, Lord.

(March 18, 2002 6:12 AM CST)

"Confident as I am about this,
I wanted to visit you first
so that a double grace might be yours."
2 Corinthians 1:15

Visit the sick.
Go see those in prison.
Pray with them.
Encourage them.
They get blessed and you get blessed.
Go with the confidence of God.
Receive God's grace.

(March 17, 2002 6:14 AM CST)

Last night I had a dream that I met former president
Gerald R. Ford .
"You're Gerald R. Ford," I said to him.
I tried to shake his hand,
but I could not get my right hand free from my coat.
I was in a very narrow crowded hallway or entranceway
right next to someone.
Finally I did free my hand and shook his hand.
He walked away.
He did not say anything that I can recall.
BTW (by the way) he was born in Omaha in 1913.
I've never met any presidents in real life.

Jesus said,
"I am the true vine and my Father is the vinegrower.
He prunes away every barren branch,
but the fruitful ones he trims clean to increase their yield."
John 15:1-2

The Lord asks you to give up things.
Change your priorities.
Do something useful.
Stop your sinful ways.
Then you have time to work for him.
You have time to pray and increase in holiness.
He will draw you closer to him.
Stay connected to the vine.

(March 16, 2002 6:22 AM CST)

Jesus said,
"Put your trust in God."
Mark 11:22

It is so simple.
Trust Jesus.
Have faith in him.
He will do what he promised.

(March 15, 2002 6:04 AM CST)

"Only in God is my soul at rest;
from him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold;
I shall not be disturbed at all."
Psalms 62:1-3

Do you have peace in your life?
Is your soul at rest?
Are you disturbed?
Come to Jesus.
He will give your soul rest.
He will give you peace.
Ask him to forgive all your sins.
He will turn your life around.
Look up to him.
He is your rock.

(March 14, 2002 6:11 AM CST)

Jesus said,
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to me;
let him drink who believes in me.
Scripture has it:
'From within him rivers of living water shall flow.'"
John 7:37-38

Jesus, send us this living water.
We are so empty and thirsty.
We need you to fill us up.
You are the one that gives us hope.
Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Come and fill our hearts.
May we truly come alive in you.

(March 13, 2002 6:08 AM CST)

"That divine power of his has freely bestowed on us
everything necessary for a life of genuine piety,
through knowledge of him who called us
by his own glory and power."
2 Peter 1:3

With Christ you have all that you need.
He is your source.
Rely on him for everything necessary.
Lead a genuine life of grace.
Ask for knowledge of him.
Learn more about the Lord each day.
He is power.
See his glory.

(March 12, 2002 6:17 AM CST)

"Thanks be to God who has given us
the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be steadfast and persevering, my beloved brothers,
fully engaged in the work of the Lord.
You know that your toil is not in vain
when it is done in the Lord."
1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Offer up all your efforts today to Jesus.
Be a worker for the Lord.
Know that the victory is yours in Christ.
Be engaged in God's work.

(March 11, 2002 6:18 AM CST)

It has been 6 months.
What have we learned?
Do something nice for someone today
as a way of remembering.

I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday.
They are going through some rough times.
Would you pray for them?
Thanks.

A lawyer asked Jesus,
'Teacher, which commandment of the law is the greatest?'
Jesus said to him,
'You shall love the Lord your God
with your whole heart,
with your whole soul,
with your all your mind.'
This is the greatest and first commandment.
The second is like it:
'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
Matthew 22:36-39

Love God.
Love your neighbor.
Do this and you will live.
There will be joy in your life.
That is why you are here.

(March 10, 2002 8:09 AM CST)

Yesterday I was studying XSL (eXtensible Stylesheet Language) at
www.w3schools.org .
The site is very well done.
I need to learn XSL for my job.

"Pray perseveringly,
be attentive to prayer,
and pray in a spirit of thanksgiving."
Colossians 4:2

Pray to God.
Give him your whole attention.
Read the Bible and think about what God is saying to you.
Offer up thanks to him.
Thank him for the sunshine and blue sky this morning.
Give thanks for another day of life.
Pray often.
Set aside time each day to pray.
Make an appointment with God daily.
Jesus, teach us how to pray.

(March 9, 2002 8:02 AM CST)

Last night we had lightning, thunder and snow.
This morning the ground is covered with the frozen result.
The wind is very strong, also.

"Judas took the cohort as well as guards
supplied by the chief priests and the Pharisees,
and came there with lanterns, torches and weapons.
Jesus, aware of all that would happen to him,
stepped forward and said to them,
'Who is it you want?'
'Jesus the Nazorean,' they replied.
'I am he,' he answered."
John 18:3-5

Who is it that you want?
Are you interested in Jesus?
He is the one.
He steps forward to take command.
He is in control.
The forces of evil will try to destroy you.
Who will you call to rescue you?
Who will step forward?
Jesus is the one.

(March 8, 2002 6:10 AM CST)

"Peter came up and asked Jesus,
'Lord, when my brother wrongs me,
how often must I forgive him? Seven times?'
'No,' Jesus replied, 'not seven times;
I say, seventy times seven times.'"
Matthew 18:21-22

Forgive, forgive, forgive.
Don't count how many times you forgive.
Be a forgiving person.
Have an understanding heart.
Love your enemies.
Do good to them.
Ask Jesus to help you forgive.

(March 7, 2002 6:12 AM CST)

"I will give thanks to you, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will declare all your wondrous deeds.
I will be glad and exult in you,
I will sing praise to your name, Most High..."
Psalms 9:1-3

Give praise to God.
Thank him for what he has done.
Honor him for his greatness.
Bow down to him.
Adore him.
Praise him for the beauty of creation.
Give glory to God.

(March 6, 2002 6:17 AM CST)

Please, pray for a friend of mine, Dave, and his family.
His wife died a few days ago.

"There is nothing to fear.
I am the First and the Last
and the One who lives.
Once I was dead but now I live --- forever and ever.
I hold the keys of death and the nether world."
Revelation 1:17-18

We place our trust in Jesus.
He lives forever.
He is our hope for eternal life.
He is always there to comfort us.
Do not be afraid.

(March 5, 2002 6:07 AM CST)

"Let us not grow weary of doing good;
if we do not relax our efforts,
in due time we shall reap our harvest."
Galatians 6:9

Don't give up.
Hang in there.
Continue your efforts.
The Lord is with you.
Salvation takes time.
Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Point others to the Lord.
In the end we will win.

(March 4, 2002 6:07 AM CST)

Jesus said,
"Be compassionate, as your Father is compassionate."
Luke 6:36

Do you show understanding to others?
Are you considerate and thoughtful?
Learn of the Father in heaven.
He thinks of you often.
He wants the best for you.
Do the same as he does.
Help your brother or sister.

(March 3, 2002 6:51 PM CST)

Billy Graham is on TV this week.
Click above and check the TV listings
or watch the two programs on-line.
In Omaha he is on Channel 6 WOWT NBC
Monday, March 4th, 7 PM and
Tuesday, March 5th, 7 PM.

Jesus said,
"Reform your lives!
The kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Matthew 4:17

Change is important.
Each day you need to move a step closer to God.
Reform your life.
The time is at hand.
Now is the time.

(March 2, 2002 8:00 AM CST)

"As Jesus was entering a village, ten lepers met him.
Keeping their distance, they raised their voices and said,
'Jesus, Master, have pity on us!'
When he saw them, he responded,
'Go and show yourselves to the priests.'
On their way there they were cured.
One of them, realizing that he had been cured,
came back praising God in a loud voice.
He threw himself on his face at the feet of Jesus
and spoke his praises."
Luke 17:12-16

There were 10 and only one returned to say thanks.
The Lord heals us.
He forgives our sins.
He heals our sickness.
He makes us well.
He gives us new life.
Do we return to thank him?
Thank you, Jesus, for all that you have done for me.

(March 1, 2002 6:13 AM CST)

"The testimony is this:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
Whoever possesses the Son possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God does not possess life."
1 John 5:11-12

Christ is key.
He is central.
You need Christ in your life.
You need a relationship with the Son of God.
He is eternal life.
Hold on to him.
Hold on for your life.
