"Many in the crowd came to believe in him.
Jesus performed many miracles.
They kept saying,
'When the Messiah comes,
can he be expected to perform
more signs than this man?'"
John 7:31
Some believed in him and some did not.
They saw with their own eyes the wonders of God.
How could they not believe?
You read about Jesus today in 2002.
What do you think?
Was he God?
Was he the Messiah?
It takes faith to believe in Jesus.
Ask for this faith.
Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you.
Open your heart to him.
He will confirm who he is in your heart.
You will know.
He is a God of love.

"They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the town,
It was a miracle.
leaving him there for dead.
His disciples quickly formed a circle about him,
and before long he got up and went back into the town."
Acts 14:19-20
Paul's time was not up.
He had more work to do.
His disciples prayed over him and he was healed.
Miracles do happen.
Expect great things.
Continue God's work.
Don't give up.
Keep at it.
Pray with confidence.
Pray with others.
Attend church today.
God will hear your prayers.

Marilou died a few days ago.
"God is our refuge and our strength,
Lord Jesus, we call on you for help today.
Would you pray for her and her family?
And pray for the families of those
who died in the
bank robbery in Norfolk, Nebraska
.
It is so sad.
an ever-present help in distress.
Therefore we fear not,
though the earth be shaken
and the mountains plunge into the depths of the sea;
Though its waters rage and foam
and the mountains quake at its surging.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
our stronghold is the God of Jacob."
Psalms 46:2-4
Many things are happening around us.
We are very concerned.
Come and help us.
Be our comfort in this time of sorrow.

We need you, Lord.
Hear our prayers for these people.
(September 27, 2002 6:20 AM CDT)

What more could you ask for?
He is with you day and night.

He gives you a wonderful future with him in heaven.
What more can I say?
You are blessed.
(September 26, 2002 6:21 AM CDT)

"No sooner had Judas eaten the morsel
There is darkness in this world.
than he went out.
It was night."
John 13:30
There is evil.
How do we deal with it?
We remind ourselves that God is in control.
He will protect us from harm.
He will give us the strength to fight evil.
God is way more powerful than the forces of darkness.
There is no match.
It is not a fair fight.
Call on the name of Jesus and things happen.
Jesus is pure light.
The darkness runs from him.
Go to Jesus when it seems evil surrounds you.
Ask Jesus to cover you with his shield of protection.
Jesus, protect us from harm.
Be with us.
We need you.
We call on you for help.
Thank you for hearing our prayer.
(September 24, 2002 6:17 AM CDT)

The Lord is very powerful.
more powerful than the breakers of the sea ---
powerful on high is the Lord."

He made the earth and all that we see.
He made the sun and stars.
He is bigger than the oceans.
He can stop the wind with a command.
And yet he is concerned about you.
He loves you.
The God of the universe is interested in you.
Will you respond to his love?
Will you take time to pray today?
Stop and listen.
He has much to say to you.
He is a loving God.
He cares about you.
(September 22, 2002 6:36 AM CDT)

on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is faithful,
and it was he who called you to fellowship
with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."

Help me to do what is right.
Help me to spread peace and not hate.
Teach me your ways.
I need your help.
Change me, Lord.

"O God, be merciful to me, a sinner."
How do you approach God?
Luke 18:13
What do you say to him?
Do you thank him that you are not like others?
(See verse 11.)
Do you say things like, "I'm better than them."
Do you tell him what great things you have done?
We are all sinners.
None of us are perfect.
We all need to be saved.
Call on the mercy of God.
Bow down before him.
Have awesome respect for him.
He is the Lord.
He will save you.
Ask for his mercy.
(September 17, 2002 6:12 AM CDT)
"Jesus cried out in a loud voice,
Jesus gave up everything.
and then gave up his spirit.
Suddenly the curtain of the sanctuary
was torn in two from top to bottom.
The earth quaked, boulders split, tombs opened."

He suffered tremendously for us.
He offered up himself on our behalf.
He called out to the Father
to save all that would follow him.
He died for us.
The curtain was opened to us.
We now have access to heaven.
He shakes up people's lives.
He wants to free us from the tomb.
Thank Jesus for opening the curtain to us.
Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you for dying for us.
We don't understand why you love us so much.
Change our lives.
Teach us to listen to you.
Help us to follow you.
Lead us to home in heaven.

It is comforting to know that God is always there.
Know that he is God and we are his people.
(September 15, 2002 6:49 AM CDT)
"Beloved, do not imitate what is evil
Do you belong to God?
but what is good.
Whoever does what is good belongs to God;
whoever does what is evil has never seen God."
3 John 1:11
Is God a part of your life?
Imitate good.
Look at Jesus and try to imitate him.
Do what he did.
He was concerned about the poor and forgotten.
He forgave.
He helped the sick.
People came to him and he listened to them.
He welcomed the children.
He visited people's houses.
He shared what he knew about the way to eternal life.
He spread good news.
He worked for the kingdom.
He loved others.
He gave of himself.
He cared about others.
Look to Jesus.
Belong to God.

Did you see the awesome sunrise yesterday
Could you pray for Jeff and his family?
Jesus said,
The Lord Jesus will return one day.
in Omaha around 6:50 AM?
It gave you goose bumps.
It was very beautiful.
It was a ray of hope on such a tragic day to remember.
God is still there.
God is still in control.
Jeff passed away on September 7th.
He was only 29 years old.
Thanks.
"There will be signs in the sun,
the moon and the stars."
Luke 21:25
The sky will announce his coming.
Look up.
Welcome the Lord of all creation.
Welcome your Savior and your King.
(September 5, 2002 6:10 AM CDT)
Spring 2 Life is on hold until September 12.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted..."

We take a few moments of silence to remember
all those who died on September 11th last year.
May they rest in peace.

Jesus, be near them.
Give them your peace.
Amen.

"It was for this you were called,
Suffering is part of life.
since Christ suffered for you in just this way
and left you an example,
to have you follow in his footsteps."
1 Peter 2:21
Christ showed us to offer this up to him.
Suffer for the sake of Christ.
Follow his example.
His suffering brought great good to the world.
Don't complain.
When you feel a pain let it be a reminder
of what he suffered to save us.
It is a reminder to pray.
Jesus, thank you for carrying the cross for us.
Thank you for enduring the pain on the cross.
By your cross and suffering you have redeemed the world from sin.
We are most grateful.
(September 3, 2002 6:13 AM CDT)
"You are a vapor
We are only here for a short time.
that appears briefly and vanishes."
James 4:14
Most of us live 70 or 80 years on this earth.
That is not very long.
We are here and then gone.
Prepare yourself for life after death.
Believe in Jesus.
He will take you to life eternal.
He has prepared a place for you when your days are done.
Follow Jesus to heaven.
You will find rest in him.

Open our eyes, Lord.
Click above and check the TV listings
or watch the two programs online.
In Omaha he is on Channel 3 KMTV CBS
Wednesday, September 4th, 7 PM and
Friday, September 6th, 7 PM.
The programs were recorded in Cincinnati, Ohio a few months ago.
'Saul, my brother, I have been sent by the Lord Jesus
who appeared to you on the way here,
to help you recover your sight and
be filled with the Holy Spirit.'
Immediately something like scales
fell from his eyes and he regained his sight."
Acts 9:17-18
We are blind.
Help us to see the truth.
You are the light.
You show us right and wrong.
Teach us your ways, Lord.
Send us your Holy Spirit.
Give us wisdom to know what to do.
We need help.
We are blind.
Without you we stumble and fall.
Help us, Lord Jesus.
(September 1, 2002 6:40 AM CDT)
Jesus said to them,
Who is perfect?
"Let the man among you who has no sin
be the first to cast a stone at her."
John 8:7
Who does what is right?
Who is a truly holy person?
Be careful casting stones at others.
Look in the mirror first.
Correct yourself.
Ask the Holy Spirit to point out your faults.
Work on these things with God's help.
Jesus, show us our faults.
Show us our blind spots.
We need to see where we need correction.
Call us to holiness.
We need your help.
Help us, Lord Jesus.
(Be careful praying this prayer.
The Lord will point things out to you.
Do you really want to change?)
