The Lord is great
Praise the Lord

Jesus is our only help

Bless the Lord

The Lord is near to you

Seek and you shall find

(May 31, 2003 8:40 AM CDT)

There was an annular solar eclipse
this morning in Europe.
Take a look at God's creation.
It is very beautiful.

"The heavens declare the glory of God."
Psalms 19:1

What do you think?
Is God out of this world or what?
He is way beyond us and yet he cares about us.
He is different.

(May 30, 2003 6:09 AM CDT)

"Out of love,
place yourselves at one another's service."
Galatians 5:13

Think of others.
Be of service to them.
It is the thought that counts.
Try to help those around you.

(May 29, 2003 6:12 AM CDT)

"I have found David son of Jesse
to be a man after my own heart
who will fulfill my every wish."
Acts 13:22

Be one with the heart of God.
Give your heart to him.
You will be blessed, as David was.
You will find peace.

(May 28, 2003 6:08 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"In very truth,
even the hairs of your head are counted!"
Luke 12:7

God knows everything about you.
He knows how many hairs you have.
He sees if you are ill.
He can see your soul.
Be honest with the Lord.
He sees you as you are and loves you very much.
He calls you to holiness.

(May 27, 2003 6:12 AM CDT)

Yesterday I planted some flowers
in front of my house.
The ground was a little muddy,
because we get rain frequently.
At the moment we are above average
in rainfall in Omaha.

I've been reading about GERD lately.
One of my relatives has this condition.
Pray for them.
Thanks.

"I lift up my eyes toward the mountains;
whence shall help come to me?
My help is from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth."
Psalms 121:1-2

Go to the Lord first.
Ask him to help you.
He is your strength in times of need.
He is all wisdom.
Look up.
The Lord is in control.

(May 26, 2003 6:17 AM CDT)

Do you need to set your watch to
Omaha time (CDT - Central Daylight Time)?
Click on the link.

"The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!'
Let him who hears answer, 'Come!'
Let him who is thirsty come forward;
let all who desire it
accept the gift of life-giving water."
Revelation 22:17

Are you thirsty?
Are you hungry?
Are you looking for something new?
Ask Jesus to come into your life.
Your life will never be the same again.

(May 25, 2003 8:22 AM CDT)

"For here we have no lasting city;
we are seeking one which is to come."
Hebrews 13:14

How high are your goals?
Do you just point to things on this earth?
Look higher.
Look to God who made the universe.
He made you.
He made everything that you see.
Seek God above.

(May 24, 2003 8:09 AM CDT)

The most popular page that is viewed
on my web site lately is
The California Adventure .
Many people are taking vacations apparently
and want to see pictures of the place.
It is a fun place to visit.

"Pay each one their due:
taxes to whom taxes are due;
toll to whom toll is due;
respect and honor to everyone who deserves them.
Owe no debt to anyone
except the debt that binds us
to love one another."
Romans 13:7-8

Pay what you owe.
Don't go into debt, if you can avoid it.
You don't need the latest thing
that everyone just has to have.
Pay off your debts quickly.
Respect and honor everyone you meet.
Love one another.
You owe it to the Lord.

(May 23, 2003 6:20 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"The Father and I are one."
John 10:30

Jesus is God.
He is also a man.
It is a mystery.
We don't understand.
God became man ---
something to think about.
Why would God do such a thing?

(May 22, 2003 6:16 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"Listen carefully to what you hear.
In the measure you give
you shall receive, and more besides.
To those who have, move will be given;
from those who have not,
what little they have will be taken away."
Mark 4:24-25

Use your gifts from God.
Study the Bible.
Pray to God.
Be of service to others.
Listen to God's direction.
Then your faith will grow.

(May 21, 2003 6:16 AM CDT)

Yesterday at work I received a baseball as an award.
Now that does not happen often.

"I will praise the name of God in song,
and I will glorify him with thanksgiving."
Psalms 69:31

Sing to the Lord.
Praise the Lord with your voice.
Give thanks to the Lord.
Glorify the Lord of heaven and earth.
Sing a song of joy and thanksgiving.

(May 20, 2003 6:15 AM CDT)

"At the time it is administered,
all discipline seems a cause for grief and not for joy,
but later it brings forth the fruit of peace and justice
to those who are trained in its school."
Hebrews 12:11

You need discipline.
You need guidelines.
Seek the Lord for direction.
When he corrects you
know that it is for your own good.
Follow his ways.

(May 19, 2003 6:14 AM CDT)

"May God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
grant the brothers and sisters
peace and love and faith."
Ephesians 6:23

If only we had that ---
if only we had peace or love or faith.
Our lives would be so different.
We would experience God's love.
There would be joy in our hearts.

(May 18, 2003 7:53 AM CDT)

Congratulations to Monica, Rachel and Katie.
They are graduating this week.
God bless them and their families.

"Yet in all this we are more than conquerors
because of him who has loved us."
Romans 8:37

Christ has power.
If you are in communion with Christ,
you have access to this same power.
Call on the Lord in time of need.
You can conquer any problem.

(May 16, 2003 6:19 AM CDT)

Yesterday I went to see Dr. Watts again.
He said my left ear is fine.
He is impressed that it has healed so well.
He said to come back in September.
I have to keep a look out for any more spots
on my skin or any changes to the existing ones.
They sure are a friendly group at his office.
It almost makes you want to be sick
just to keep contact with them.
God bless them as they help people to get better.

"Suddenly a man from the crowd exclaimed:
'Teacher, I beg you to look at my son;
He is my only child.'"
Luke 9:38

Jesus, come and heal us today.
We may have cancer and not even know it.
Heal our body and our soul.
We need you.
You are the divine healer.
Thank you for hearing our prayer.
Thanks, for healing my ear.

(May 15, 2003 6:17 AM CDT)

"Seeing a fig tree by the roadside
Jesus went over to it,
but found nothing there except leaves.
He said to it,
'Never again shall you produce fruit!';
and it withered up instantly."
Matthew 21:19

Jesus expects something of us ---
something positive --- something fruitful.
What are you doing with the talents he has given you?
Produce some results for the kingdom of God.
Do something.

(May 14, 2003 6:13 AM CDT)

"Whoever possesses the Son possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life."
1 John 5:12

You need Jesus.
You can't get to heaven without him.
You can't do it on your own.
Jesus is life.
Give your life to Jesus.

(May 13, 2003 6:14 AM CDT)

"Through him the whole structure is fitted together
and takes shape as a holy temple in the Lord;
in him you are being built into this temple,
to become a dwelling place for God in the Spirit."
Ephesians 2:21

The Lord Jesus invites us to come close.
Be part of the structure.
In him you become blessed.
Welcome the Holy Spirit.
Dwell with the Lord.
You are no longer a stranger. (Verse 19)

(May 12, 2003 6:15 AM CDT)

Paul said to Festus,
"The message I proclaim
is the sober truth."
Acts 26:25

It is the truth.
Jesus is truth.
Paul told Festus, but he would not believe.
Believe the truth.
Believe the message.

(May 11, 2003 8:05 AM CDT)

This morning I'm reading about the
El Temple de La Sagrada Familia
in Barcelona, Spain.
It is a huge church under construction there.

I really like the song by Avalon
"Everything To Me" .
Click on track 4 to hear a sample of it.

Jesus said,
"Seek out instead his kingship over you,
and the rest will follow in turn."
Luke 12:31

Follow Jesus.
Stay close to him.
Listen to him.
Your life will never be the same.
Jesus gives you order in the chaos.
Rest in him.
He says to stop worrying. (Verse 29)

(May 10, 2003 9:25 AM CDT)

"After making the crossing
they reached the shore at Gennesaret;
and when the men of that place recognized Jesus
they spread the word throughout the region."
Matthew 14:34-35

Have you met Jesus?
Have you seen him?
Tell others about him.
Spread the word.
Jesus has come to heal and restore us.

(May 9, 2003 6:11 AM CDT)

If you live in Nebraska,
you can vote on what the next license plate
will look like at
www.dmv.state.ne.us .

"For God knows the secrets of the heart."
Psalms 44:23

God knows you through and through.
He knows your heart.
He knows you inside and out.
Do you love him?
Do you think about him?
Turn your heart toward Jesus.
Think about him.

(May 8, 2003 6:17 AM CDT)

"Look out that you yourselves
do not lose what you have worked for;
you must receive your reward in full."
2 John 1:8

Don't lose your faith.
Hold on.
Hang in there.
You have known Jesus for many years.
Don't lose it.

(May 7, 2003 6:12 AM CDT)

"Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday, today and forever."
Hebrews 13:8

Trust in Jesus.
He is here to stay.
Base your life on him.
He is the faithful one.
He is eternal.

(May 5, 2003 6:16 AM CDT)

We pray for all the people hurt or killed
by the tornadoes yesterday
in Kansas and other places.
Lord be with them and their families.
I was driving on Interstate 29
north of Omaha yesterday around 4 PM.
It was raining very hard with a little hail.

"To him whose power now at work in us
can do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine ---
to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
through all generations, world without end. Amen."
Ephesians 3:20-21

God is at work.
He is changing us.
We are the church.
He is our leader through all time.
It is the power of Christ at work.
Imagine that.

(May 4, 2003 7:48 AM CDT)

Jesus told Martha,
"I am the resurrection and the life:
whoever believes in me,
though he should die, will come to life;
and whoever is alive and believes in me will never die."
John 11:25-26

Jesus is life.
He is life to the max.
Trust him.
You don't have to worry about death.
Believe in Jesus and have life that never ends.

(May 3, 2003 8:13 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"Be sure of this:
if the owner of the house
knew when the thief was coming
he would keep a watchful eye
and not allow his house to be broken into.
You must be prepared in the same way.
The Son of Man is coming
at the time you least expect.
Who is the faithful, farsighted servant
whom the master has put in charge of his household
to dispense food at need?"
Matthew 24:43-45

Look to the future.
Be prepared.
Be watchful.
Be ready.
Jesus will bless your efforts.
Welcome the Lord Jesus when he comes.
It will be a wonderful surprise.

(May 2, 2003 6:17 AM CDT)

"Grace and peace be yours
from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Thessalonians 1:2

The President said the war is over last night.
Thank God for peace.
Thank the Lord for his grace.
God bless all the people of Iraq.
May they live in peace.
May they receive the grace of God.

(May 1, 2003 6:14 AM CDT)

Jesus asked Mary Magdalene,
"Why are you weeping?
Who is it you are looking for?"
She supposed he was the gardener, so she said,
"Sir, if you are the one who carried him off,
tell me where you have laid him
and I will take him away."
Jesus said to her, "Mary!"
John 20:15-16

Mary did not know it was Jesus.
It was the risen Jesus.
Maybe it was her tears that blocked her view.
Maybe she never looked at his face.
She did not recognize his voice.
Only when Jesus said her name did she know him.
Look at Jesus.
Look at his face.
Listen to his voice.
He sees your tears.
It is Jesus.
He is alive.
No one can take him away from you.
