The Christian life is not easy.
Jesus has overcome the world.
He has paved the way.
We can do it with his help.

Jesus was upset with the crowd.
They had no faith.
He was disappointed with them.
Trust in Jesus.
He can do what he says.

Believe in Jesus.

Every day more and more people are killed.

Prophecy.
The gift of prophecy.
Is it still around in 2004?
Do you have this gift?
See things clearly.
Ask the Lord for wisdom.
Listen to the Lord closely.
Share what insights you have from the Lord.
Tell it the way it is or will be.
Speak in the name of Jesus,
if you are prompted to do so.

Follow Jesus.
Abandon the things that weigh you down (sins).
Stay close to the Lord.
Be faithful to him.
Catch the faith given to you.
Share the faith with others.

The word of God goes forth into the world.
Some seed bears fruit in the lives of people.
They lead lives of faith.
There are weeds growing.
The devil seeks to destroy us.
It is a battle of good and evil.
Which side are you on?
God will win.
Be on God's side before the end of the world.
Choose God.
Live a life of faith.

Jesus lights up the world.
He gives brightness and joy to life.
Life is worth living.

He wants you to see things the way they really are.
He points things out to you.
Ask for wisdom and it is yours.

Last night John from Australia was at
the Siena / Francis House .
He is heading for a Lutheran camp
a hour north of Albany, New York on a lake.
He helped serve the dinner.
And Gary got a job.
That is great!
I met him a few weeks ago.
He was helping cook in the kitchen.
Pray for them both.
God bless them and be with them.

Jesus said,
"You cannot tell by careful watching
when the reign of God will come.
Neither is it a matter of reporting
that it is 'here' or 'there.'
The reign of God is already in your midst."
Luke 17:20-21

It is here.
It is today.
The reign of God surrounds you.
The blessings of God have been poured forth.
Will you receive them?
Will you let them enter your soul?
Will you let go and let God enter in?
It is here.

Jesus told stories.
He wants us to think.
We need to examine things.
Is something good or bad?
Is this the will of God or not for me?
Pray for guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Listen to the requests of the Lord.
Then do the will of God.
Say "Yes" and follow through.

Jesus will make suggestions to you.
He sees things that you do not see.
Will you listen?
Will you respond?
The results will be amazing.

It is tough to follow Jesus.
It is not easy.
You will endure pain and suffering.
You will need to be strong.

He is holding you up.
In this the grace of God shows through.

Mary felt the ups and downs of life.
Jesus was born and many strangers came to worship him.
She wondered about her child.
She saw him preach to vast crowds and perform miracles.
She must have been very proud of him.
Mary saw Jesus die.
What a sad day it must have been for her.
It broke her heart.
She saw him after the Resurrection.
She hugged him and talked to him.
He was alive again.
It was pure joy.
Through it all she proclaimed that God is great.

It is true.
Jesus is alive.
He rose from the dead.
He has overcome death.

Jesus opened the door to heaven for us.
We now have access.
We will take advantage of it?
We will ignore such a great gift?
Accept Jesus and receive the good news.
The Easter Bunny that you see at the Mall
will be gone tomorrow,
but Jesus is here to stay forever.

It is Good Friday.
It is "good" because Jesus died for our sins.
He died a horrible death.
He suffered greatly.
He did this for you and me.
He loved us that much.
He was innocent and we are guilty.
Jesus, thank you for dying for us in our place.
We are most grateful.
Forgive my sins.
Heal me, Lord.
You did it all for us.
Thank you very much for your great love.

Did you see this one in the news?
See how heavy a load this car has on its roof.
These two people needed some help.
We were all laughing at work yesterday from seeing this.

"The great crowd of Jews
discovered Jesus was there and came out,
not only because of Jesus
but also to see Lazarus,
whom he had raised from the dead."
John 12:9

I'd go to see them, also.
I'd want to see Jesus in person and
I'd like to see Lazarus walking around and talking.
I'd ask Lazarus what happened for the 4 days
that he was dead.
Did he remember anything?
And Lazarus died again a second time.
I imagine he was well prepared
to face death a second time.
It definitely would be interesting
to have talked to him.

Have you ever heard this story of the
Hurricane of 1938 ?
Someone received a barometer in the mail
and thought it was broke
because the mercury stayed at the bottom of the tube.
They repackaged it and sent it back at the post office
as the hurricane struck.

Jesus asked them,
"Where is your faith?"
Luke 8:25

You should be stronger than that.
You should be able to handle change.
Jesus is right there.
You have faith.
Make it an active faith.
Jesus, increase our faith.
Help us to trust you completely.

Last night at the Siena / Francis House
I was talking to Dave again.
He says that a retired doctor
counsels some of the people there.
That is great.
These people are in such great need.
God bless this doctor and
all the people he is trying to help.

"My prayer is that your sharing of the faith with others
may enable you to know all the good
which is ours in Christ."
Philemon 1:6

We take for granted the food we eat.
We have a roof over our heads and
don't think much about it.
God has been very good to us.
We have been blessed.
Share your blessings with others.

They shouted praises to God.
For hundreds of years they had waited for him.

The Lord may send you to far away locations.
You will meet many people
and see many things.
You may even end up in prison.
Pray for those you meet.
These are "divine appointments."
Tell them about Jesus.
I'm sure that Paul told the many soldiers
that guarded him all about Jesus.

It is a challenge.
That is why he said he would be with us.

Pray for my uncle.
He is very sick.
God be with him and his family
and the doctors and nurses caring for him.

This week I'm working on a different project.
It's called Q Search .
We have several people in from out of town
to discuss changing it.
It is something new for me to learn.
Pray for all the people working on this.
I will get to use some of the things
I have been studying like ASP.NET .

"When Jesus returned to his disciples,
he found them asleep.
He said to Peter,
'So you could not stay awake with me
for even an hour?
Be on guard and pray
that you may not undergo the test.
The spirit is willing
but nature is weak.'"
Matthew 26:40-41

Jesus took time to pray.
He encouraged his disciples to pray.
Prayer gives you strength to face
the challenges of life.
It is easy to be lazy,
but with God's help you will
be alert to do his calling.
You need prayer in your life.
