What I wrote yesterday was what I call a
stream of consciousness
or maybe unconsciousness.

Sorry.
I don't remember any dreams from last night.
I did see someone at the Westroads last night that
looked like the Mom in the dream the night before last.
She was close.

Last night I printed 15 pictures of Crater Lake
in Oregon.
I did a Google search to find them and
save them to my hard drive.
You want to see them?
Here I will upload them.
Ok they are there.
Now I need to build links to them,
so you can see them.
These pictures are all copyrighted by other people,
as you can see on some of them.
Really truly beautiful what God has made.
It is the bluest water I have ever seen.
I was there in 1993 give or take a few years.
My favorite?

Two days in a row I beat the 6 AM barrier.
It was 2:19 AM this morning and this
police helicopter was circling my house.
Here are some things that I wrote down,
since I obviously could not sleep.
Yesterday Ann/Anne from American Fence
called me twice.
On call number two she instantly realized her mistake.
I told her don't worry it's just a typical Monday
joking around with her.
My chain link fence on the south side needs fixing
and I called and left a message on Friday August 26th
to see if they could help me.
It is a Sears fence, so I went to Sears on Saturday.
Sears does not carry parts for fences anymore
and sent me across the street to Lowes at 76th and Dodge.
Driving to work yesterday the red light on the dash board
came on that says "Brake".
Great.
So I dropped off the car at 20th and Harney.
I did not have to tell them my name.
They know me and my old car.
The bill came out to $497.90.
After I picked up my car around 5 PM
a woman asked me for money ($3) for a bus ticket to Lincoln.
I said no.
Sorry.
There is a chance she would use it to buy a drink,
so I thought I better not.
The air purifier is doing great.
It is.
It is a great invention.
Wow...we need to pray for the hurricane people.
I was thanking God for my house and that crazy
helicopter flying overhead.
I was safe and dry with a roof over my head.
And I broke my rule about never looking at the clock at night.
I don't keep my own rules.
And the stock market went up yesterday even with all
this bad news going on.
I just shake my head.
And I sold what I had.
The Monday Effect even during a hurricane.
I have been to New Orleans once but just at the airport
which is probably underwater today.
The place stopped there on the way to Fort Meyers, Florida
maybe 10 years ago.
I can remember my ears just killing me from the
compression and decompression.
I made a mistake and there were 3 or 4 stops
on the way to Florida.
I was hurting bad (mal).
I was.
And I killed one of my African violets on Saturday.
I bought a new one a Lowes with deep violet flowers,
since I just happen to be there.
I was pulling the dead leaves off the violets
and I pulled this one completely apart.
Not too smart.
I killed it.
Just a few minutes ago I grabbed the folded papers
from getting the car fixed and there was this
cricket hiding in the papers.
I jumped and then laughed about it.
I'm still laughing.
I caught the invader with a towel and
tossed it out in the garage.
I had to set it free.
You can't squish them all over my carpet...
that is gross.
I do squish spiders though with my bare hands.
My dreams were so cool too.
In one I had to take care of someone's baby.
And I don't even have a car seat.
They were going to go somewhere and come back.
I asked them if they wanted my phone number
and I gave them my home number and they did not write it down.
Who would run off and leave me to care for their baby?
What about the diapers?
The kid's Mom was really pretty.
I wonder if I have ever met her in real life.
I think I would remember her if I ever met her for real.
And I couldn't remember the kid's name...
was it Richard or what???
I was trying to call out to this kid and
I did not know his name.
It was a fun dream from what I remember.
And my last note says that the price of gas in my neighborhood
jumped 10 cents overnight yesterday.
Come on.
It can't jump that fast.

And they lived happily ever after.
See what happens when I don't get enough sleep.

Here is the 360 degree picture of
120th and West Dodge Road in Omaha taken yesterday.
It goes west-north-east-south-west.
When you get back to west the cars are different.
They just don't stay still.

On Friday August 26th at about 5 PM
there was this guy driving backwards
going west across the South Omaha Bridge.
I mean...Wow.
He was in the westbound lane.
It is a two lane bridge.
This was during rush hour traffic.
We were going east to Iowa.
My theory is that his car would not go forward
and all that he could do was drive in reverse.

Yesterday and overnight I scanned
both my hard drives for viruses.
It just found a few suspect files which I deleted.
Adware.Aureate they call it from Aureate Media Corporation.

This morning at 4 AM I was backing up files
from one hard drive to the other.
I copied all the recent Spring To Life files
and iTunes music files for example.

"When Jesus saw their faith,
he said to the paralyzed man,

That is intercessory prayer.
You pray for someone else.
It is powerful.
A group of you agree to pray together
for an intention.
The Lord responds.
But it takes faith.
Do you believe that the Lord can do what you ask
and even more than you can imagine?

(Update at 8:36 PM:

Here is a 180 degree picture of 120th and West Dodge Road
at 11:30 AM today looking west-north-east.
This is made from 6 photos stitched together
with the Panorama Factory.
The white car on the right is
half there and half not there.
That comes from merging pictures together
and the car is in one and not the other.
The old bridge and hill in the center
of the picture will be removed.
The intersection will be below the newer bridges.



Then I tried to make a 360 degree picture
from 13 pictures, but it was just too large.
I made two 180 degree pictures from the center
of the median at the same location.
(Sorry...I deleted these two pictures.
See the 360 degree picture above.)
Here is west-north-east and east-south-west .
The cars just would not hold still for me.
The rounding at the top and bottom is
caused by the merging of pictures.
I tried to edit the pictures and square them up,
but I could not do it.

Well, I tried the Google Desktop yesterday and
it just ate up too much of the resources on my PC.
It slowed everything way down.
Then it crashed my computer so bad
it was trying to write all of memory to disk.
I uninstalled it.
What I saw did look cool,
if they get the bugs out of it.
It needs more work.
You can type in "Daniel" and it has an index of everywhere
that the text "Daniel" appears on my hard drive.
I don't think it ever finished building the index
after many hours.
I saw 70 percent right before the big crash.

Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows XP Home to
Windows XP Professional.
I need it for a VPN to connect to work.
Maybe that is why it crashed.
I hope not.

This morning at 4 AM I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2.
It took over an hour.
I'm giving it a chance.
Over the years SP2 has had a bad reputation.
We'll see how it does.

Then I got paged this morning for work.
They changed something on the network and
they needed it tested.
I called them back and helped them test it.
All is well.
I could not get in while the SP2 update was happening.
I had to use my old Windows 98 computer.
Wow, is it unstable and very slow.
How did we ever take it?
Somehow we survived.

I did try to buy tickets to that concert
yesterday morning online at 10:10 AM.
It said all the tickets were gone by then.
See.
I would have traded them in for the October 30th concert.
Here let me go get the newspaper outside
and see what it says.
Sorry it took so long.
I had to take a look at my 3 pink
and two red roses out front.
Beautiful.
Very beautiful.
Our local newspaper says that it sold out in 26 minutes.
Therefore I should have got tickets at 10 minutes after.
It told me there was none available.
Strange.
Just weird.

He is very concerned.
Much good can come from our struggles.
We can help others in the future
to go through the same thing.
One day there will be joy and gladness.

Last evening I installed the Google Desktop .
I am checking it out this morning.
It is indexing my whole hard drive.
It has a sidebar that is showing
some of my pictures one at a time
every 15 seconds or so.
I just checked and I have about 3,593 pictures
on my hard drive of 2.2 GB.
Wow.
Have I taken that many pictures
since August 18th, 2003?

The big deal in Omaha this morning
is people trying to buy tickets for the
Rolling Stones concert January 29th, 2006 at the Qwest Center.
The tickets go on sale at 10 AM CDT.
Our local newspaper has had many stories on this.
There should be quite a few people in line in person
and online trying to get the few tickets that remain.
They sell them ahead of time
at this link that I gave you above.
Me?
I would not go to a Rolling Stones concert.
No.
Sorry.
I would like to go see Paul McCartney instead.
He is at the Qwest Center on October 30th, 2005.
The cheapest ticket I see in a quick look online is $316.00,
so I probably won't see Paul when he is in town.
I will just have to buy his DVD at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club
and go watch it at my brother's place,
since he has a huge plasma TV and surround sound theater.

Snoopy is back
thanks to modern technology.



He had quite a trip starting in Ontario, California
then to Lenexa, Kansas then Omaha, Nebraska.
Lenexa is near Kansas City.
He must be very tired.

I see every day when my PC starts.
And yellow highlighter that I have only used once
on October 17th, 2004 in my Bible.
I have 5 post-it notes.
The one on the bottom left says:
"What can I do for someone else today?"

Good thing I got my car washed the other day.
I used Rain-X on the windshield.

I purchased it at the Wal-Mart
that I took a picture of on August 21st.
When I was a freshman at Creighton Prep
I used to transfer from one bus to another bus
at this intersection out of the picture to the left.
The calendar on their web site says
they started school this year on August 22nd.

Did I accomplish my goal?
Yes.
I made it to church at 6:57 AM ahead of time.

The lawn?
It turned out fine in the daylight.

The sunrise?
It was nowhere to be seen at 6:43 AM.
So much for that local newspaper of ours.

The furnace has been inspected.
It took all of 5 minutes... if that.
This guy had a flashlight and checked it out.
The thing has an electronic ignition
(sounds like a car).
I set the thermostat to 90 F degrees.
There are 3 flames when it kicks out the heat.
I watched it in action.
It was cool... I mean hot.
Since there is no pilot light
that alone should make my heating bill go down.

I misspoke/mistyped the other day.
What can I say?
I'm not too awake at 6 AM.
The paper towels I have are called Bounty not Bounce .
I'm trying to devise a fair test between
these two brands of paper towels.
I'm thinking about it.
How much water can they absorb?
Maybe that is it.
How many paper towels does it take
to absorb a cup of water?
It would waste a lot of paper to conduct the test.
I guess that is why they crash cars with dummies in them.

I wonder what the Lord would say to me,
if I had an inspection.
I wonder if I would pass the test.
It would be interesting to get his feedback directly.
Daniel, you are doing this right,
but you need to change this and this and this.
And I want you to look into doing this.
And I want you to do this in 5 years.
You need to study this.
You need to be prepared for this event.
I want you to talk to this person.
It would be fascinating to find out.
I guess that is what prayer is about.

Yesterday I called up the place that installed my furnace and AC.
The receptionist answered the phone with this:
"It's a wonderful day at Standard Heating and Air Conditioning."
I told her it was a wonderful day where I was also.
It was a confirmation of what I wrote about yesterday.
I'm going to have a fantastic day today also.
I am.
And it is going to be fun.

MUD is coming to inspect my furnace today
sometime between 8 AM and Noon.
They just give you a window.

After work yesterday I stopped at the Walgreens
at 30th and Dodge.
(My whole life is centered on Dodge Street.)
I had a coupon for some paper towels
from the Sunday newspaper.
I got two of them for $1.07.
I will test them out and see if they
are better than Bounce (I should have said Bounty).
This is like Consumer Reports.

I usually gain weight on trips to CA.
Well, not this year.
I checked myself when I got back and it was about the same.
But...
since getting back I have gained at least 5 pounds.
I guess I better quit buying the Blue Bunny ice cream.
And no more cakes from The Cake Gallery.

This morning I am telling myself
I am going to have a wonderful/fun/exciting/blessed day
because I have Jesus in my heart.
I tell people "expect great things."
Joel in his big church (more like convention center)
says the same thing.
Two for two.
Two weeks in a row this Bible verse was presented to me.
Joel quoted it on his TV program yesterday.

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity,
but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."
2 Timothy 1:7

There should be power in your life.
You should be on the same frequency as the Lord.
You should be joyful and glad that you are alive.
If he can create this beautiful rose in my front yard,
he can easily create a beautiful day for you.
Just study how beautiful it is.
I even printed an 8 by 10 of this to study it at work today.
It is a reminder.
It is an indicator.
Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord for his greatness.

Last evening I went to Wal-Mart way out north on I-680.
It has " 207,502 square feet of retail space and
employing approximately 510 associates ."
I have to get a picture of their roof today
and show you (see above).
It was cool.
I saw it from the bridge (Military Road)
that goes over I-680 just south of the building.
The road is up in the air a little bit.
How many times have you ever seen the roof of a Wal-Mart?
I don't know if I ever have.
I bought this ice cream there made by Blue Bunny called
Bunny Tracks .
Someone I volunteer with at SFH recommended it.
It is not too bad,
but they should have left out the peanut butter.
I bought it early and was going all over the huge store
finding other things.
It was a little mushy when I finally got back home.
I was surprised to find Blue Bunny in CA.
I thought it was just in a few states (Nebraska, Iowa, etc.).
It originates in LeMars, Iowa.
Their web site says they are in all 50 states and Mexico
and Puerto Rico (when I was in CA I met someone from PR,
I wonder if I have ever seen a coqui , maybe at the zoo).

This is funny...
At the Westroads Mall lately the Waldenbooks store has a table
that says they are now hiring people.
Also on the same table is a book...
Job Interviews For Dummies .
Every time I see it I just have to laugh.

And my printer is working again.
They (Island Ink-Jet) gave me a different ink cartridge
where I had it refilled at the WM.
I printed 7 8 by 10 pictures of Long Beach, CA yesterday.

Picture 1 is the intersection of
Pine Ave and Ocean Blvd looking north
or is it Long Beach Blvd and Ocean Blvd?
I should have done this weeks ago...sorry.
I just looked at the map.
It is Pine Ave.
I did not realize until I got home that the ocean
is due south of Long Beach.
Picture 2 is looking the opposite direction (south) with the
countdown on the seconds left for the crosswalk.
6 seconds and going fast.
And it says Ocean Blvd on the street sign.
Picture 3 is the Pine Ave Pier.
Picture 4 is the Aquarium of the Pacific
that I told you about on August 1st below.
Picture 5 is the skyline of downtown.
Picture 6 is inside the Aquarium obviously.
Picture 7 is a playground at the Aquarium.

Last night at 5 PM I bought a cake from
The Cake Gallery .
I got a 6-inch diameter Oreo Cookie Cake with fudge filling.
Please, buy your next cake (if you buy cakes) from them,
because they donate cakes all the time to SFH.
They are very generous.
Wednesday night I saw a few cakes from them at SFH.
Their Oreo Cookie cake was good, but my cake is better
and it does not cost as much ($3 / $13).
Here is what you need to make my favorite cake .
I have two in the freezer.
There is also a frozen Lemon/Lemon cake.

Something is happening with my color printer.
It does not print color pictures correctly.
Last night at the Westroads
I had the color ink cartridge refilled
and that did not fix the problem.
It printed one good picture and
the others were not right after that.
The color blue is missing in places.
Maybe the cartridge is bad (mal in Spanish).

This morning I'm testing out my new air purifier
in my new furnace.
It uses ultraviolet light at wavelength 253.7 nm (nanometers)
to zap the bad stuff in the air.
My nose says the ragweed pollen count in the air
is very high this morning.

The word is that they cloned Snoopy
in Ontario, California (or near there) yesterday.
He is taking a trip and I'm watching him
on UPS this morning.
I'd give you the tracking number, but UPS' web site says,
"Without limitation, you are not authorized to make the
Information available on any web site..."
Sorry.
I'm not sure why they capitalized Information.
It must be a legal/lawyer type thing.
I looked at the map and I've never even been near Ontario, CA
in the times I have been to LA.
One thing I like about Snoopy (cloned or not) is
you don't have to feed him because he is already stuffed.
And he is house-trained.

This happened at 2:15 to 2:19 PM on Thursday.
I went down the stairs where I work
and out the front door and
clockwise around the building
and back in the front door
and back up the stairs.
Most of the time it is "uneventful",
but not this time.
Just after I went out the front door
someone was carrying two boxes coming up
to the building and I held open one door for her
and even the second interior door for her to get in.
I thought to myself ---
God sent me down to help her.
Interesting.
God put me to work.
When I circled the block and came back
there she was again with two more boxes
and I had to run and open the doors again for her.
Here I come.
I asked her how many boxes did she have to bring in
and she said just four.
That was it.
I can go back upstairs to work.
I was dismissed.

Also on Thursday I went to Kinkos on 72nd and Dodge.
I had them print this picture for $1.99.
It comes out to a 5 by 17 picture.
I had the picture on a 32 MB thumb drive
that I got out of the clear blue sky one day recently.
It comes in very handy.
Much better than a floppy disk.
This picture would not have even fit on a floppy disk.

This morning I'm wondering if
Snoopy will ever come home .
It is sad around the house without him.
I just stare at the empty spot
over my computer monitor now.
I went to visit him yesterday at his new digs.
He did not even look at me.
He has his backside turned to me at first.
He has a "penthouse" on top of this structure
with a commanding view of his environment
which is huge compared to this bedroom.
He has a new doggy friend to play with.
His new owner is spoiling him
and even gave him a new name.
He gets lots of attention all day long.
I was never at home for him.
Since he probably won't come back home,
I'm been talking to some people to clone him.
It is 2005.
We have the technology.
We'll see what they can do,
but it just won't be the same.

Jesus told this story,
"A man had two sons.
The younger of them said to his father,
'Father, give me the share of the estate
that is coming to me.'
So the father divided up the property.
Some days later this younger son
collected all his belongings
and went off to a distant land,
where he squandered his money on dissolute living."

That is God.
He is watching for you.
He is wondering if you will ever come home.
He is there waiting and watching.
Could he clone you?
Sure, but he would not do such a thing.
Why?
You are unique.
You are very special to him.
There is no one like you.
You are very precious to him.
He calls you by your name
and asks you to come home.

Here is something I found out there in cyberspace...
Paul McCartney in Russia in 2003 .
It shows someone holding a "Happy Birthday, Paul" banner
at 2:43 near the end.
His birthday is June 18, 1942.
From what I read it was NOT his birthday that day
which was May 24, 2003 in Moscow.
The song is "Got To Get You Into My Life" which
is on the Beatles' Revolver album Side 2 Track 4.
I still have a turntable to play it
thanks to one of my brothers
that found it at a Goodwill.

Last night I helped serve dinner at SFH.
We had picnic plates since the dishwasher
has been moved to the new building.
Tim Sully's family was there --- even his Mom.
He was not there.
Remember he had his picture in the newspaper on Sunday.
Three of his nieces/nephews were helping serve the dinner
maybe 6 years old.
Two of his sisters were trying to talk to this
guy from Mexico in Spanish.
They were trying to say "Mother-in-law."
I just did a Spanish/English dictionary search
and came up with "suegra."
I don't think they ever got the idea across to him.

I had this dream last night about a little bird.

her Mother-in-law passed away.

My car hit 93,000 yesterday
probably on Dodge Street somewhere.
I wrote this number on my calendar
in the south bedroom on the north wall.
It is something I have always done.
I don't know why.
On July 11 92,000.
On June 12 91,000.
On May 13 90,000.
On April 8 89,000.
On March 4 88,000.
On January 30 87,000.
I just like numbers I guess.

There is this smell of coconuts in the house this morning.
Very strange.
I like coconuts in German Chocolate cake,
but not otherwise.

I forgot to tell you about Brianne on Saturday.
She gave me her work gloves.
She said she could not lift heavy boxes.
I did not even ask her.
I came in late and all the gloves were gone by then.
We had to go get more since they ran out.

Yesterday I went to this church
that I had never been to before.
I was not comfortable.
They did not believe in Jesus.
I can't go there again.
We need to pray for them.
Jesus is God.
He was not just a great spiritual teacher.
He was way more than that.
It's like the words to this 3 Doors Down song "Let Me Go",
"You loved me but you don't know who I am"
which I am listening to this morning.
They know about Jesus,
but they don't know him.
They have part of the truth.
They need to keep searching for more.

This is one of the verses the pastor quoted at this church yesterday.

"The Spirit God has given us in no cowardly spirit,
but rather one that makes us strong, loving and wise."
2 Timothy 1:7

The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom to know the truth.
We need that.
We need to know what is real and what is not

Jesus will lead you to the truth.
He is the Lord.
He is God.
He is your strength for this life.
It is your life.
He loves you very much and
wants you to know all about him.

My rose bush is blooming again.
It took awhile.
I just had to be patient.

From what I see there is no strike
this morning where I work.
That is great news.

Yesterday I was at the Siena/Francis House.
They had a large group of volunteers
move frozen food from one freezer
across the street to the new building.
Our local newspaper today has a picture on page B-1
and story on page B-3.
Tim Sully is the person on the left in the picture
and is quoted in the story.
There are 2 pictures below
under August 10th of this new building.
I was the "glove man."
I went the length of the line asking
people if they wanted gloves for their hands.
Some of the guys refused them.
I guess it was a "macho" thing.
One girl had only one glove
because she shared the other glove with a friend.
Now there's a friend to have.
I gave her another glove.
It took about 2 hours to move 4 tons of food.
All our local TV stations were there filming.
I did not see the TV news lasting evening.
How did we look?
I told Michelle that she might be "discovered."
Who is that Michelle in Omaha?
They would come looking for her.
And some of the time during the two hours it was raining.
These people got wet.
They did not get soaked, but still.
I was inside the new building sorting
the boxes Turkey, Beef, Chicken, etc.
Many of the volunteers were from Creighton University .
God bless them.
Some people were from Sitel
that were with me inside the new building.
I met Andrew, Andre, Tumie, Dan, Jessica, Jane, Connie, and Nefertiti .
I told Andre he could be a comedian.
He could.
He was funny.
He was a character.
I think the radio was playing 96.1 FM or 99.9 FM maybe,
but I talked to some of the people I just mentioned
and they listen to 94.1 FM,
so I negotiated a radio station change with the powers to be.
I told them lately I listen to 98.5 FM.
That is the station my nephew likes.
So far I like about 5 songs of the 100 I have heard.
I call it building bridges.
Music is a bridge.
It helps in communications.

And I went to eharmony yesterday.
They ask you about 400 questions
for their personality profile.
I answered about 100.
It was work.
That was way too much thinking for me.
Am I shy?
Normally, but not yesterday.
It all depends on the tone of the group.
It was a fun group.
So how do you answer the question?
Everyday is different.

Luke loves the number 3.
You see it all over his writings.
Presence is important --- to be there in person.
It means a lot.
You can send emails, text messages or letters to people.
You can call them on the phone.
But when you are there in person that is a whole new level.
Go and visit people.
Meet them.
Listen to them.
Be with them.
Share your time.
Share your life.
Build a bridge.

Hey, this is cool...
It was 7:00 AM and I had just got out of my car
near the chapel at Girls and Boys Town this morning.
I mean this was perfect timing...
about 15 Canada geese did a flyover
in two "V" formations about 50 feet above me.
I just love to hear and see these formations.
They "announced" their arrival and I looked up to see them.
It lasted maybe 30 seconds and was over.
I tell people that God likes to show off.
If he was trying to get my attention this morning,
he sure did it.
I was impressed.
I get a tear in my eye just thinking about this.

This is from one of the scripture readings today at the chapel.

"The people promised Joshua,
'We will serve the Lord, our God,
and obey his voice.'"
Joshua 24:24

Yes, do that.
Serve the Lord.
Obey him.
Listen to his voice.
Please, promise you will do that.

Last night I received an email from someone and
I was writing back to them and
I sent it and it went into hyperspace.
It never made it
and I don't have a copy of it.
It is probably somewhere on my hard drive,
if I knew where to look for it.
I took too long to write the message and
it "timed out" on me.
I could not believe it.
All that work/effort and it went nowhere.
I guess it was just not meant to be.

This morning I'm trying to figure out
the words behind the letters "D M C."
So far I have come up with two possibilities:
"Dolly Madison Cakes" and
a friend of mine "Diane Marie C........"
Did you know that Dolley Madison was married
to James Madison President number 4 of the USA?

this morning right before 6 AM.
That is a first!

Hey, there is a big thunderstorm going through town right now.
I'm watching the radar.
It is right over Omaha.
Meanwhile here is a picture of the sunrise this morning.

I pulled my car over just to take a picture of it.
This is on West Dodge Road looking east by Old Mill.
You can see the new bridges under construction.
As I was driving by there tonight I was wondering
where is all the rain on those bridges going to go
during a thunderstorm like we are having.
The sunrise was cool and kept changing.
I saw it all the way to downtown.

This is north of downtown on 17th street.
I had a tour of it on July 27th.

Yesterday everything was happening at once
in my neighborhood.
They were replacing the driveway next door
and I was replacing my furnace and AC.
It was very noisy.
I went to work to hide.
God bless these workers.
Both tasks were completed from what I see this morning.
I need to call MUD to get the furnace inspected.

This morning I'm reading about
Yosemite National Park .
I did not go there, but it looks very beautiful.
This web site says there are bears in the park.
Yes, don't feed the bears.
It also says that

I was trying to figure out how to get one for my car.
I could steal one --- can't do that.
I could buy a car in CA and license it there maybe.
I could move to CA --- that would really do it.


First of all it is a Camry which is the next car I will buy
after my Lexus wears out
(if it ever does, 92K miles going very strong).

on a personal license plate for Nebraska.
I could, but it is just not the same thing.

I'm praying that there is no strike a week from today.
I would have to work 12 hours per day and 7 days a week

I bought a stock yesterday for fun.

I was just outside.
I parked my car on the street and
put out the newspapers to recycle in a bin.
It is a little cool 57 F degrees.

And the answer is "No."
87.7 FM in Los Angeles is not TV Channel 6.
It is some radio station.
Well, they don't have a Channel 6 from what I see.

While we were out there we listened to
KZLA 93.9 FM from time to time
as you can see in this picture.
It plays country music.
It was 71 F degrees at 6:08 PM PDT July 31
on the PCH maybe in Manhattan Beach.
Scanning FM radio will do you no good in LA.
Just about every possible FM setting is taken.

Notice the streets are at a 45 degree angle
to the other streets around them.
Picture 3 is the chapel on the campus of LMU
taken on July 29th.
Howard Hughes would fly his planes over the school,
north and south.
The school built this steeple and
Howard was forced to change to east and west.
LAX is also east and west for takeoffs and landings.
This morning we took off going west over the ocean.
Howard donated some land to the school.
Picture 4 is one of the houses that Howard
crashed the XF-11 into on July 7, 1946.

This is where the Oscars are presented.
Picture 6 was taken at Universal Studios.

Picture 7 was taken on July 30 in a cove
near Laguna Beach.
We spent most of the afternoon there.
The water was very cold to swim in.
It was low tide, so you could walk on the rocks
from cove to cove.
It was interesting to watch the tide come in
and attack the beach.
Picture 8 was taken July 31 at Long Beach.
This is Rainbow Harbor and Marina.
It is a very nice area of town.
Picture 9 is at the Aquarium of the Pacific
also in this same location.
They let the kids touch the stingrays in this pool,
but they could only use two fingers on the back.

at Manhattan Beach July 31.
