How we need peace in this world.
There is too much violence.
We are so afraid.
Jesus, come into our world and bring peace.
We need you.
Come and change our world.

God is beyond time.
He is infinite.
We can't understand this.
We are in time.

Be sincere.
Love the Lord with all that you are.
Show him great respect.
He is deserving of all our praise.

Thank the Lord for the rain.

I have been studying sudoku lately.
It is an interesting thinking game
with the numbers 1 to 9.

"Therefore, since we for our part

let us lay aside every encumbrance of sin
which clings to us and
persevere in running the race which lies ahead;
let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus,
who inspires and perfects our faith."
Hebrews 12:1-2

We have many brothers and sisters in the Lord.
We are the body of Christ.
We are not alone.
Let us push sin aside and
and ask for forgiveness from the Lord.
We are in a race.
Let us focus on Jesus.
He will inspire us until the end.

The message of Jesus was spreading.
It is good news to the world.
Many believed in Jesus.
They became followers of him.
They were converted.

Last night I went to graduation for my nephew
at the Orpheum in downtown Omaha.
God bless him and his family.
God bless all the graduates this year.
In the speech last night the student said:
a noun is a person, place, thing or idea.

Jesus said to them,
"Today this Scripture passage is fulfilled
in your hearing."
Luke 4:21

There are many prophecies about Jesus.
He was sent to bring good news to the poor. (Verse 18)
He proclaims liberty to captives. (Verse 18)
He announces a year of favor from the Lord. (Verse 19)
Listen to Jesus.
It is a great idea.

paralyzed, suffering painfully.'
He said to him,
'I will come and cure him.'

Just give an order and my boy will get better.'"
Matthew 8:5-8

It takes faith.
Do you believe that Jesus can heal you?
He can cure you.
He is the divine physician.
Jesus, give the word.
Heal me.

Invite the Lord into your house.
Make Jesus part of your family.
Pray together.
He will help you raise your children.
He is there to make your house a home.

By the grace of God love other people.

He is there to guide you.

Don't laugh at Jesus.
He is talking to you.
He tells you to get up.
He gives you the breath of life.
Come back to life.

Offer your life to God.
Give all that you are to him.
You are alive.
You are precious to him.

Jesus came to earth to die for us.
He knew what he was doing.
He did it because of his great love for us.
He came to save us.
Thank you, Jesus, for dying for us.

His friends had deserted him.

Peter was sleeping between two soldiers,
fastened with double chains,
while guards kept watch at the door.
Suddenly an angel of the Lord stood nearby
and light shone in the cell.
He tapped Peter on the side and woke him,
'Hurry, get up!' he said.
With that, the chains dropped from Peter's wrists.
The angel said, 'Put on your belt and sandals!'
This he did.
Then the angel told him,
'Now put on your cloak and follow me.'
Peter followed him out,
but with no clear realization
that this was taking place
through the angel's help.
The whole thing seemed to him a mirage.
They passed the first guard, then the second,
and finally came to the iron gate
leading out to the city,
which opened for them of itself.
They emerged and made their way down a narrow alley,
when suddenly the angel left him.
Peter had recovered his senses by this time,
and said, 'Now I know for certain that the Lord
has sent his angel to rescue me from Herod's clutches
and from all that the Jews hoped for.'"
Acts 12:6-11

The Lord will send his angel to you.
He will wake you up.
He will rescue you.
Trust in the Lord.
He can do more than you can imagine.
Recover your senses.

then climbed a sycamore tree
which was along Jesus' route,
in order to see him.
When Jesus came to the spot
he looked up and said,
'Zacchaeus, hurry down.
I mean to stay at your house today.'
He quickly descended,
and welcomed him with delight.
When this was observed,
everyone began to murmur,
'He has gone to a sinner's house
as a guest.'
Zaccheaus stood his ground
and said to the Lord:
'I give half my belongings, Lord,
to the poor.
If I have defrauded anyone in the least,
I pay him back four-fold.'
Jesus said to him:
'Today salvation has come to this house,
for this is what it means
to be a son of Abraham.
The Son of Man has come to search out
and save what was lost.'"
Luke 19:4-10

Take a close look at Jesus.
He is coming your way.
Invite him to your house.
He will come and stay with you.
Today is the day of salvation.

You are very close to the kingdom of God.
Tell Jesus that you believe in him.
Ask him for the forgiveness of your sins.
He is very near.
He will touch your heart.
He will change your life.
Jesus, I believe in you.
Come into my heart.
Change me, Lord.

'What are you looking for?'
They said to him,
'Rabbi (which means Teacher),
where do you stay?'
'Come and see,' he answered.
So they went to see where he was lodged,
and stayed with him that day.
(It was about four in the afternoon.)"
John 1:35-39

What are you looking for?
Ask yourself this question.
Jesus asks what you are searching for.
It tells a lot about you.
It is revealing.
Jesus gives you an invitation.
Draw near to him.
Come and see.
Stay with him for awhile.

We know, too, brothers and sisters beloved of God,
how you were chosen."
1 Thessalonians 1:2-4

I'm praying for you this morning.
You are chosen by God.
Jesus is your hope.
I thank the Lord for your faith that is growing.
We give praise to God.

Ask Jesus to forgive your sins.
Turn toward God.
He will grant you a season of refreshment.
He is new life every morning.
He is joy for your soul.

Jesus told a parable about a rich man and Lazarus:
"Between you and us
there is fixed a great abyss,
so that those who might wish to cross
from here to you cannot do so,
nor can anyone cross from your side to us."
Luke 16:26

The rich man was on one side and Lazarus
was on the other side.
It is a reference to heaven and hell.
We choose to be with God or not.
Call on the mercy of God.
Jesus is the one that can save you.
Jesus, save me.
