I had a sleep test overnight
at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha on Wednesday.
I don't think I passed the test.
I hardly slept at all
with all these wires connected to me.
I will get the results in a week.

Last night at JCPenneys at the Westroads Mall
I was walking through the store
and a lady thought that I worked there.
I told her that I did not.
Then I asked her what she was looking for.
The parking garage level one.
Easy.
I pointed her right to the door
on the east side of the building.
I was going there also.
I told her, "I don't want you to be lost."

Jesus taught,
"So I say to you,
'Ask and you shall receive;
seek and you shall find;
knock and it shall be opened to you.'"
Luke 11:9

Ask the Lord for what you need.
He is there to help.
Do you feel lost?
He will give you direction.

Faith is important.
Jesus will go to another place
if no faith is found.
Trust in him.
Believe in him.
This is very basic teaching.

Yesterday I "fried" that refurbished PC.
It lasted 5 days in my house.
I put 2 new memory modules in it
and turned on the power.
The power supply started to spark.
Great.
I found a loose piece of metal inside the PC.
It was a piece that came loose in shipping apparently.
There is a second piece of metal missing.
I can't find it this morning.
I turned the PC upside down looking for it.
These are the pieces for expansion cards that
you remove on the back of the PC.
I wonder if everything that was it is destroyed.
It had 2 160GB hard drives and a DVD player,
1GB of memory and a 19-inch monitor.
I am not happy.
Oh my.

Try to please the Lord.
He is the one to impress.
Offer your life to him.
Look to him.

I did a restore on a refurbished Pentium 4 PC yesterday.
Windows XP does great except for a few drivers to load.
Vista just would not work.
Vista had to be reinstalled to get it going again.
Acronis and Vista don't get along.

We had a storm go through Omaha
last evening after 7 PM.
The sirens were sounding and day became night.
It was constant lightning.
The storm had a direct hit on Omaha / Council Bluffs
moving from the west to east.
And I got another PC yesterday.
It is refurbished from someone on ebay.com.
How many computers do I need?
It is another Pentium 4 2.8 G Hz.

"Jesus returned a third time and said to them,
'Still sleeping?
Still taking your ease?
It will have to do.
The hour is on us.
You will see that the Son of Man
is to be handed over
to the clutches of evil men.

Evil is not far away.

He has a Wii .
We were playing tennis.
I wonder how it works.
I was hitting the ball after it went
past me and bounced off the wall behind me.
I was kind of slow at first.

Well, today I'm trying to get everything
working on my 320 GB hard drive
and then I am going to back it up.
I reinstalled Windows XP yesterday.
Hopefully that is the last time that I do it.

Trust in the Lord.

My electric bill has gone way down from last year.
It is less than 50% of what I used a year ago.
The insulation in the attic and the new
windows and CFLs has really helped.
I got Vista working again last night.
It had an error about a missing partition
after I moved partitions around on
my 320 GB hard drive.
I just need to fix the BCDEDIT.exe entries somehow.
It says that I don't have the authority
to change the settings.
That is what I hate about Vista.
You can't change things.
You fight the computer.
I fixed it before.
I can't remember how I did it.
Maybe I went into "safe" mode for Vista.

Who would do such a thing?
How could you betray Jesus?
It is a scary thought.
Stay near to him always.
Go to him with your questions and concerns.
You are safe with him.

You need an anchor in a storm.
You need help.

The last few days I have been moving
partitions around on various hard drives.
I am getting close to fixing the
problem with the 320 GB hard drive.
It only allocated 18 GB to the "C" drive.
That is not very much to work with.
I am making it 100 GB as I move things around.
That Acronis software is very useful.
When I backed up the entire 320 GB hard drive
it created a 92 GB file of the 148 GB in use.

"Jesus withdrew from them about a stone's throw,
then went down on his knees
and prayed in these words:
'Father, if it is your will,
take this cup from me;
yet not my will but yours be done.'
An angel appeared from heaven to strengthen him."

Yesterday I discovered a mole is attacking my backyard.
I don't want to poison it.
I need to find another way.
Maybe trap it and take it far away.
My refurbished computer is gone.
I gave it away.
It even ran code9.exe
faster than my new computer.
Well, there is another computer on the way.
One thing I bought recently on ebay.com was
Acronis True Image 10 .
It will take exact copies of partitions on hard drives.
Very interesting.
I just need a hard drive big enough to use it.
Can you tell I am getting addicted to ebay.com?
Why pay $800 for a computer if you can get
something very close for $400?
I bought detergent with Febreze in it recently.
It smells great, but burns my eyes
for a day around the house after doing the laundry.

Bring your children to the Lord.

Yesterday I went for my annual physical (I missed last year) to
Dr. Dunning near 168th and West Center Road in Omaha.
He is in a new building.
I had a hard time finding the building.
I even looked at Google Earth ahead of time.
Everything was new.
The receptionist that I talked to on 3rd floor was Kathy
and she had some little sign about Jesus on the wall
and a greeting card with a cross made of flowers.
They put me in exam room 33.
You know how I like the number 3.
They had 4 flags outside the doors
to indicate some status about the patient in the exam rooms.
Good idea.
Always something new.
I need some of those flags for my office cube
or maybe around the house.
They gave me a tetanus shot.
The doc said I needed it.
He did not even ask if I wanted it.
I would have said no.
I have not had one since I was a kid.
I can't think too much about it or I will get faint.
I hate shots.
I don't know why.
I did not even feel it.

"I will ask the Father
and he will give you another Paraclete ---
to be with you always:
the Spirit of truth,
whom the world cannot accept,
since it neither sees him nor recognizes him;
but you can recognize him
because he remains with you and will be within you.
I will not leave you orphaned;
I will come back to you."

You are not alone.
You have the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
You are loved by God.
He cares dearly for you.
