God is love
Put your trust in Jesus

The time is now

Be born again

God is great

Love is all you need

(December 31, 2010 Fri 6:26 AM CST)

I don't have to work today,
but I have to work tomorrow on New Year's Day.
The last time I worked on New Year's Day
was in 2000 for Y2K testing.
It is interesting to read the names of people
back in 2000 that I talked to and met.
I don't see any of them anymore.

"I will forgive their evildoing,
and their sins I will remember no more."
Hebrews 8:12

Ask the Lord for forgiveness of your sins.
Jesus, forgive me,
I have sinned.
I have done wrong.
Thank you for your love and forgiveness.

(December 29, 2010 Wed 6:24 AM CST)

Many people that I know are sick.
We pray for all of them to recover quickly.
There is a bug going around Omaha.

"We pray for you always
that our God may make you worthy of his call,
and fulfill by his power
every honest intention and work of faith.
In this way the name of our Lord Jesus
may be glorified in you and you in him,
in accord with the gracious gift
of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ.
May they do great works.
May the Gospel be proclaimed.
May the name of Jesus be lifted up.

(December 28, 2010 Tue 7:49 AM CST)

"Do not be led astray any longer.
'Bad company corrupts good morals.'
Return to reason, as you ought, and stop sinning."
1 Corinthians 15:33

Are your friends leading you toward the Lord
or away from him?
Think.
Use your brain.
Choose the Lord and the path to life.

(December 27, 2010 Mon 6:26 AM CST)

"At this they tried to seize Jesus,
but no one laid a finger on him
because his hour had not yet come."
John 7:30

Jesus is in control.
There is a plan.
He is all-powerful.
He is a servant.
There is much to learn about him.

(December 26, 2010 Sun 6:49 AM CST)

Jesus taught,
"This is the meaning of the parable.
The seed is the word of God.
Those on the footpath are people who hear,
but the devil comes and
takes the word out of their hearts
lest they believe and be saved."
Luke 8:11-12

Hold on.
Hold on to your faith.
You can lose it.
Renew your faith in Jesus.
See, believe, pray.

(December 25, 2010 Sat 8:09 AM CST)

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
God bless you today!

"When the angels had returned to heaven,
the shepherds said to one another:
'Let us go over to Bethlehem
and see this event
which the Lord has made known to us.'
They went in haste and found Mary and Joseph,
and the baby lying in the manger;
once they saw, they understood
what had been told them concerning this child.
All who heard of it were astonished
at the report given them by the shepherds."
Luke 2:15-18

Go with haste to see the Savior of the world.
Jesus, I believe in you.

(December 24, 2010 Fri 6:43 AM CST)

"God has willed to make known to them
the glory beyond price
which this mystery brings to the Gentiles ---
the mystery of Christ in you,
your hope of Glory."
Colossians 1:27

Your hope is in Christ.
He has paid a great price with his life.
You are his child.
Learn more about your glory in Christ.
It is a mystery to be studied.

(December 22, 2010 Wed 6:29 AM CST)

The son of one of my friends passed away last week.
Pray for all of their family.
God bless them and comfort them.

"When they had eaten their meal,
Jesus said to Simon Peter,
'Simon, son of John,
do you love me more than these?'
'Yes, Lord,' he said,
'you know that I love you.'
At which Jesus said,
'Feed my lambs.'"
John 21:15

Spend time with Jesus.
Get to know him.
Tell him that you love him.
Love him above all other things.
Jesus, I love you.

(December 21, 2010 Tue 9:55 AM CST)

I woke up too late to see
the lunar eclipse this morning.

"The Lord in reply said to her,
'Martha, Martha, you are anxious
and upset about many things;
one thing only is required.
Mary has chosen the better portion
and she shall not be deprived of it.'"
Luke 10:41-42

You are rushing here and there and everywhere.
Christmas is very near.
Don't miss the blessings.
Focus on the reason for the season.
Study the new baby
that is born to save you from your sins.
He is there if you take time to look for him.

(December 20, 2010 Mon 6:28 AM CST)

I finished up the Sudoku from the newspaper
for September, 2010 yesterday.
I'm still way behind.

"The apostles returned to Jesus and
reported to him all that they had done
and what they had taught.
He said to them,
'Come by yourselves to an out-of-the-way place
and rest a little.'"
Mark 6:30-31

There is a time for rest.
You need to get away sometimes.
You need to find a quiet place.
Make room each day for prayer time with Jesus.
He will refresh your soul.

(December 19, 2010 Sun 7:12 AM CST)

Yesterday at work on the phone I was walking to someone.
He said his wife had died recently.
I told him I was sorry to hear that.
Pray for him and his family.
God be with him this Christmas.
It will not be easy.

On the evening of December 17
I slid on the snow/ice with my car and
hit someone's bumper from behind.
There was no damage to either car.
We exchanged names, phone numbers and
insurance companies.
You have to allow for a large stopping distance
just in case there is ice where you want to stop.
The ABS for the tires did not trigger.
I'm not sure what happened.

"When the time comes
for the seventh angel to blow his trumpet,
the mysterious plan of God,
which he announced to his servants the prophets,
shall be accomplished in full."
Revelation 10:7

There is a plan.
You are part of the plan.
Be open to what God asks of you.
Be willing to change your life.
Jesus, show me this Christmas season
your plan for my life.
I want to do your will.
Help me to serve you.
Help me to be focused on you.

(December 17, 2010 Fri 6:52 AM CST)

"For I am certain that neither death nor life,
neither angels nor principalities,
neither the present nor the future, nor powers,
neither height nor depth nor any other creature,
will be able to separate us from the love of God
that comes to us in Christ Jesus, our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39

Be open to the Lord.
Be open to his saving power.
Let his peace surround you.
Receive his many blessings and joy.

(December 15, 2010 Wed 6:28 AM CST)

Jesus said,
"No servant can serve two masters.
Either he will hate the one and love the other
or be attentive to the one and despise the other.
You cannot give yourself to God and money."
Luke 16:13

Which will it be?
What will you choose?
Is money that important to you?
Your money is worthless when you die.
Choose life.
Choose eternal life with Jesus.
It is the gift that never ends.

(December 14, 2010 Tue 6:24 AM CST)

"Wherever Jesus put in an appearance,
in villages, in towns, or at crossroads,
they laid the sick in the market places
and begged him to let them touch
just the tassel of his cloak.
All who touched him got well."
Mark 6:56

There is power in Jesus.
He is life.
Life flows from him.
Be near him.
Touch him and find healing for your soul.

(December 13, 2010 Mon 6:22 AM CST)

"O Lord, you have been our refuge
through all generations.
Before the mountains were begotten
and the earth and the world were brought forth,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God."
Psalms 90:1-2

Go to the Lord.
He is there to help.
He has been there for many hundreds of years.
All you have to do is ask.
Lord, help me.
I need you.
Come to me today.
Walk with me.

(December 12, 2010 Sun 12:08 PM CST)

We got a little snow yesterday and
a lot of wind and cold in Omaha.
They had West Dodge Road blocked at Interstate 680 westbound
because of an accident last evening.
They routed the traffic onto Interstate 680
and at times you could not see the road.
I got off at the first exit.
Very dangerous.

There is a total lunar eclipse
coming soon on December 21.

At church today the preacher sang us
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer .
It was a sermon with a song.
The people applauded.
I can't say that I've ever seen or heard
that in a sermon before.

"The testimony is this:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life."
1 John 5:11-12

Jesus is the light of the world.
He is the Son of God.
Follow him.
He is your salvation.

(December 10, 2010 Fri 6:35 AM CST)

James and Sherry that I work with are sick.
Pray for them.
God bless them and their families.

I am way behind.
I am still working on Sudoku puzzles
in the newspaper from September.
I'm not sure if I will ever catch up.
The trips to NYC and Jacksonville put me far behind.

"I am amazed that you are so soon deserting him
who called you in accord
with his gracious design in Christ,
and are going over to another gospel."
Galatians 1:6

Jesus is the one.
He is the truth.
Do not follow anyone else.
It can be a long road.
Follow him to find eternal life.

(December 8, 2010 Wed 6:36 AM CST)

Pray for Virginia (broken hip), Richard (heart attack)
and Goldie (hurt back).
I found out yesterday that Lance died.
We used to work together at Qwest Communications.
He was very smart.
Pray for all of them and their families.
God be with them and bless them.

"In each church they installed presbyters and,
with prayer and fasting,
commended them to the Lord
in whom they had put their faith."
Acts 14:23

Pray and fast for the leaders of your church.
God will help all of them.
Bless them and protect them.
Give them strength for today and always.
