November, 2011

God bless you
Love is all you need

Trust in Jesus our Savior

Have faith

All good gifts come from heaven above

Sing for joy

(November 30, 2011 Wed 6:27 AM CST)

Someone I work with had a baby.
God bless her and the baby and the family.

"The Lord will continue to rescue me
from all attempts to do me harm
and will bring me safe
to his heavenly kingdom.
To him be glory forever and ever.
Amen."
2 Timothy 4:18

The Lord is your strength.
He is your protection from the storm.
He will lead you to safety.
Give glory to him.

(November 29, 2011 Tue 6:27 AM CST)

"Brothers, since the blood of Jesus
assures our entrance into the sanctuary
by the new and living path he has opened up for us
through the veil (the 'veil' meaning his flesh),
and since we have a great priest
who is over the house of God,
let us draw near in utter sincerity and absolute confidence,
our hearts sprinkled clean from the evil
which lay on our conscience and
our bodies washed in pure water."
Hebrews 10:19-22

Let us draw near.
Come closer and see the truth.
Have confidence in the one who made you.
Come to the house of the Lord.

(November 28, 2011 Mon 6:37 AM CST)

"That divine power of his has freely bestowed on us
everything necessary for a life of genuine piety,
through knowledge of him who called us
by his own glory and power."
2 Peter 1:3

You have been blessed.
You have all that you need.
Be holy.
Live a life of piety.
Jesus, help me to live for you.

(November 27, 2011 Sun 8:26 AM CST)

"O Lord, our Lord,
how glorious is your name over all the earth!
You have exalted your majesty above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings
you have fashioned praise..."
Psalms 8:1-2 or 2-3

It is Sunday.
It is the Sabbath.
Attend church today.
Give glory to God.
Give praise to his name.
Even children praise the Lord.

(November 26, 2011 Sat 9:57 AM CST)

"Then, raising his eyes to his disciples, he said:
'Blest are you poor;
the reign of God is yours.
Blest are you who hunger;
you shall be filled.
Blest are you who are weeping;
you shall laugh.'"
Luke 6:20-21

God blesses the poor.
They are extra special to him.
Help them.
God bless you.

(November 25, 2011 Fri 6:25 AM CST)

"They called out to inquire
whether Simon Peter was a guest there.
Peter was still pondering the vision
when the Spirit said to him:
'There are two men in search of you.
Go downstairs and set out with them unhesitatingly,
for it is I who sent them.'"
Acts 10:18-20

The Lord will send people into your life.
They are there to help you.
They will lead you to the truth.
Be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

(November 24, 2011 Thu 8:21 AM CST)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
I just made some Ultimate Brownies
and a lemon/lemon cake.
The house smells great.

"Rejoice always, never cease praying,
render constant thanks;
such is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Thank the Lord.
Give praise to him.
You are loved.
Rejoice and be glad.

(November 23, 2011 Wed 6:56 AM CST)

Pray for someone and their family.
I went to grade school with him.
He died a few days ago suddenly.

"May the Lord rule your hearts
in the love of God
and the constancy of Christ."
2 Thessalonians 3:5

Let the Lord in.
May he rule your heart.

(November 22, 2011 Tue 6:30 AM CST)

"When his disciples James and John saw this, they said,
'Lord, would you not have us call down
fire from heaven to destroy them?'
He turned toward them only to reprimand them."
Luke 9:54-55

The Lord is full of mercy.
He longs for your restoration.
Ask the Lord to forgive your sins.
He wants the best for you.
Jesus, forgive my sins.
I have done wrong.
Thank you for your mercy.

(November 20, 2011 Sun 8:38 AM CST)

Make this a week of thanksgiving.
Get out a piece of paper and
write down everything you are thankful for.

"Paul answered with a question:
'Why are you crying and
breaking my heart in this way?
For the name of the Lord Jesus I am prepared,
not only for imprisonment, but for death, in Jerusalem.'
Since he would not be dissuaded,
we said nothing further except,
'The Lord's will be done.'"
Acts 21:13-14

Do the will of the Lord.
Seek to be true to your word.
Have faith in Jesus.
Be prepared for anything that might happen.
The Lord is with you.

(November 19, 2011 Sat 10:00 AM CST)

"We are bound to thank God for you always,
beloved brothers in the Lord,
because you are the first fruits
of those whom God has chosen for salvation,
in holiness of spirit and fidelity to truth.
He called you through our preaching
of the good news so that you might achieve
the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

Grow.
Increase in faith.
Spring forth with new life.
Achieve the glory of God.
God bless you in this effort.
We thank the Lord.

(November 17, 2011 Thu 6:26 AM CST)

"For our God is a consuming fire."
Hebrews 12:29

The Lord wants all of our attention.
He wants our praise.
Do you ever think about him?
Do you set aside time each day to pray?
He wants to be part of your life.

(November 16, 2011 Wed 6:29 AM CST)

Pray for someone that had surgery on Monday.
God bless them and heal them.

"After this Jesus journeyed through towns
and villages preaching and proclaiming
the good news of the kingdom of God."
Luke 8:1

Take a trip.
Go on a journey of faith.
Make time to learn about the kingdom of God.
It is good news that you need to hear.

(November 15, 2011 Tue 6:32 AM CST)

"'Truth!' said Pilate.
'What does that mean?'
After this remark, Pilate went out again
to the Jews and said to them:
'Speaking for myself,
I find no case against this man.'"
John 18:38

Jesus was innocent.
He had done no wrong.
They knew it.
He took the sins of the world on himself.
He died for you and me.
That is the truth.

(November 14, 2011 Mon 6:37 AM CST)

"Let me say this much:
He who sows sparingly will reap sparingly,
and he who sows bountifully will reap bountifully."
2 Corinthians 9:6

Be generous.
Give to those in need.
Be thoughtful.
Help those near you.
God will bless you.

(November 13, 2011 Sun 8:27 AM CST)

The start of the football game yesterday was very moving.
Both the teams were praying together
before the game began at Penn State.
The crowd could not hear what was said .
It was mostly quiet at points
in the stadium of 107,000 people.
It brings tears to your eyes.
Very surreal.

"Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
and Timothy our brother, to the holy ones at Colossae,
faithful brothers in Christ.
May God our Father give you grace and peace."
Colossians 1:1-2

Be faithful.
Seek after a life of holiness.
Pray with your brothers and sisters in faith.
There is grace and peace.
Find joy every morning.

(November 12, 2011 Sat 9:45 AM CST)

I read a news report that about
57,000 people were married on 11.11.11.
God bless their marriages.

"To the centurion Jesus said,
'Go home.
It shall be done because you trusted.'
That very moment the boy got better."
Matthew 8:13

You need trust.
You need to trust Jesus.
He will do what he says.
You can go home now.

(November 11, 2011 Fri 8:00 AM CST)

It is 11.11.11.

Jesus said,
"I solemnly assure you,
history has not known a man born of woman
greater than John the Baptizer.
Yet the least born into the Kingdom of God
is greater than he."
Matthew 11:11

Interesting.
John was the greatest at that time.
If you believe in Jesus and
proclaim your faith in him today,
you are greater than John.
Something to think about.
Very interesting.

(November 10, 2011 Thu 6:38 AM CST)

"The body is one and has many members,
but all the members,
many though they are,
are one body;
and so it is with Christ.
...
If one member suffers,
all the members suffer with it;
if one member is honored,
all the members share its joy."
1 Corinthians 12:12,26

We are the body of Christ.
We share the ups and downs together.
Do good.
Do the best you can do.
We all will share your joy.

(November 9, 2011 Wed 6:55 AM CST)

I found out yesterday that someone
I have never met has cancer.
I just hear about this person
from time to time.
Please pray for them.
God bless them and heal them.

"... so that at Jesus' name
every knee must bend
in the heavens, on the earth,
and under the earth,
and every tongue proclaim
to the glory of God the Father:
Jesus Christ is Lord!"
Philippians 2:10-11

It is something to proclaim.
It is a statement to the world.
One day all will give glory to the holy one.
Truly:
Jesus Christ is Lord!

(November 8, 2011 Tue 6:31 AM CST)

"I have no one with me but Luke.
Get Mark and bring him with you,
for he can be of great service to me."
2 Timothy 4:11

Be of service to the Lord.
Be ready when people ask you to help them.
It takes teamwork.
We are brothers and sisters in Christ.
Working together we accomplish great things.

(November 7, 2011 Mon 6:42 AM CST)

There is hope.
They are going to Haiti to build 100 homes.
God bless them.
That is wonderful!

"Sing joyfully to the Lord, all you lands;
serve the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful song.
Know that the Lord is God;
he made us, his we are;
his people, the flock he tends."
Psalms 100:1-3

Be glad.
Serve the Lord.
You are his.
He watches over you and your family.

(November 6, 2011 Sun 8:19 AM CST)

"All who looked on were amazed.
They began to ask one another:
'What does this mean?
A completely new teaching in a spirit of authority!
He gives orders to unclean spirits and they obey!'
From that point on his reputation spread throughout
the surrounding region of Galilee."
Mark 1:27-28

There are evil spirits in the world.
People joke around about Halloween, but it is real.
Ask Jesus to drive the evil from your neighborhood.
Some people walk around their neighborhood and pray.
Jesus, I ask in your name to drive the evil spirits away.
You have full authority.
Protect us, Lord.

(November 5, 2011 Sat 9:30 AM CDT)

"At this the Jews responded,
'What sign can you show us
authorizing you to do these things?'
'Destroy this temple,' was Jesus' answer,
'and in three days I will raise it up.'"
John 2:18-19

John usually writes on multiple levels.
You have what you can see (the temple building)
and what you can't see (the Resurrection of Jesus).
Ask the Lord to give you the vision you need.
Jesus, show us the truth.
Raise us up on our last day.

(November 4, 2011 Fri 9:57 AM CDT)

I was out raking the leaves this morning
for about 2 hours.
There is many more still to fall.

"Lord," said Thomas, "we do not know
where you are going.
How can we know the way?"
Jesus told him:
"I am the way, and the truth,
and the life;
no one comes to the Father but through me.
If you really knew me,
you would know my Father also.
From this point on you know him;
you have seen him."
John 14:5-7

Think about God.
Learn all about Jesus.
In him we see the Father.
He shows us the way that leads to joy and peace.
See the truth in Jesus.

(November 3, 2011 Thu 6:58 AM CDT)

"A wife is bound to her husband
as long as he lives."
1 Corinthians 7:39

We pray for all married people today.
God bless them and their children.
The Lord be with them.

(November 2, 2011 Wed 7:03 AM CDT)

"It is in Christ and through his blood
that we have been redeemed
and our sins forgiven,
so immeasurably generous
is God's favor to us."
Ephesians 1:7-8

Christ is very generous.
He is most thoughtful.
He gave his life for us.
We have truly been blessed.
Praise the Lord!
