Last night I attended a .NET meeting in Omaha.
The speaker was Brian Lagunas .
He talked about Prism .
He recommended XAML TV
for some videos on the topic.

"But let all who take refuge in you
be glad and exult forever.
Protect them, that you may be the joy
of those who love your name.
For you, O Lord, bless the just man,
you surround him with
the shield of your good will."
Psalms 5:11-12 or 12-13

The Lord watches over you.
He will protect you from harm.
He is your salvation.
Call on his name for help.
He is your joy.

Jesus will return one day.

Yesterday I watched lecture 4 .

"They then took away the stone and
Jesus looked upward and said:
'Father, I thank you for having heard me.
I know that you always hear me
but I have said this for the sake of the crowd,
that they may believe that you sent me.'"
John 11:41-42

Jesus needed to pray.
You need to pray.
Do you take/make time each day for prayer?
Today is Sunday.
It is a day of worship.
Attend church today.
Make the time to praise God.
Talk to your Father in heaven.

I listened to lecture 3 yesterday.
Professor John likes to throw candy
to members of the class that answer questions.
I learned that Python uses indentation
to group blocks of code.
For example an 'if' statement might look like this:
   age = 25
   if age > 21:
     print 'age is ', age
It is different than other computer languages.
Some languages use braces ( { } ) or semicolons ( ; )
to mark the blocks of code.
I loaded Python on my iMac PC also.
I don't care for the keyboard of the iMac.
I have a hard time hitting the right keys.

Give of your time and talents to others.
Be thoughtful.
Share your blessings.
God has been very good to you.
Be happy.

I watched this lecture from MIT yesterday
on Computer Science and Programming from spring 2011.
John Guttag does a good job at explaining the material.

Jesus said,
"Enough, then, of worrying about tomorrow.
Let tomorrow take care of itself.
Today has troubles enough of its own."
Matthew 6:34

Keep focused on Jesus.
Don't be distracted.
Don't worry.
Do what you can today to serve the Lord.
He is watching over you.

You can take courses at MIT for free.
When I was a kid I dreamed of going to MIT.
I just took a look at the class
"Introduction to Computer Science and Programming"
It uses the Python computer language.
You could learn a lot.

Jesus said:

He summoned ten of his servants
and gave them sums of ten units each,
saying to them,
'Invest this until I get back.'"
Luke 19:12-13

God has given you many talents.
What are you doing with them?
Use your talents to build the kingdom of God.
The Lord is with you.

Some people pray at lunchtime.
When do you pray?
Set aside time each day to talk to God.
He loves you and wants to have contact often.
It will open new doors for you.

It is trying to rain this morning in Omaha.
We have not had rain since June 20.
It is raining very hard just north of Omaha.
It is very close.

Prayer is so important.
Pray often.
Talk to the Lord about your troubles.
Receive joy and comfort from him.
Thank him.
