August, 2014 to December, 2014

(December 30, 2014 Tue 7:08 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Please, pray for my uncle.

He is very sick.

God bless him and be with him today.

"Then Peter said:

'I have neither silver nor gold,

but what I have I give you!

In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, walk!'

Then Peter took him by the right hand and pulled him up.

Immediately the beggar's feet and ankles became strong;

he jumped up, stood for a moment,

then began to walk around.

He went into the temple with them ---

walking, jumping about and praising God."

 Acts 3:6-8

Yes, jump for joy.

The Lord has healed you.

You have experienced God's amazing grace.

You have been blessed.

Praise God.

(December 28, 2014 Sun 8:29 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Start the new year right with Jesus.

"The One who sat on the throne said to me,

'See, I make all things new!'

Then he said,

'Write these matters down,

for the words are trustworthy and true!'"

 Revelation 21:5

The Lord is life.

He is new life every single day.

He is all that matters.

Write that down.

Start a new chapter in your life.

(December 26, 2014 Fri 7:12 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

"The angel said to them:

'You have nothing to fear!

I come to proclaim good news to you ---

tidings of great joy to be shared by the whole people.

This day in David's city a Savior

has been born to you, the Messiah and Lord.'"

 Luke 2:10-11

The baby has been born.

He has come into the world.

He will save his people from their sins.

He is the Holy One, the Son of God.

(December 23, 2014 Tue 7:15 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"Then Mary said,

'My being proclaims the greatness of the Lord,

my spirit finds joy in God my Savior.'"

 Luke 1:46-47

There is great joy in finding Jesus.

He is the one.

He is great.

Jesus, come to us this Christmas.

(December 21, 2014 Sun 8:02 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

There is much trouble in the world.

We need the peace that only God can bring.

Come, Lord Jesus.

"The angel said to Mary:

'The Holy Spirit will come upon you

and the power of the Most High will overshadow you,

hence, the holy offspring to be born

will be called Son of God.

Know that Elizabeth your kinswoman

has conceived a son in her old age;

she who was thought to be sterile

is now in her sixth month,

for nothing is impossible with God.'"

 Luke 1:35-37

It is amazing.

The goodness of God is overwhelming.

It is hard to comprehend.

Nothing is impossible for God.

(December 17, 2014 Wed 7:08 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"She brought in a vase of perfumed oil

and stood behind him at his feet,

weeping so that her tears fell upon his feet.

Then she wiped them with her hair,

kissing them and perfuming them with the oil."

 Luke 7:37-38

There are tears of sorrow.

She was a sinner.

Jesus forgave her.

There are tears of joy.

Receive the grace of God.

"Your sins are forgiven." (Verse 48)

(December 14, 2014 Sun 7:00 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"Jesus advanced a little

and fell to the ground,

praying that if it were possible

this hour might pass him by."

 Mark 14:35

Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemani.

He prayed for his disciples.

He prayed for you and me.

He offered his life as a sacrifice for our sins.

Thank the Lord for all that he has done for us.

Thank you, Jesus.

(December 6, 2014 Sat 9:36 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"During the meal Jesus took bread,

blessed it, broke it,

and gave it to his disciples.

'Take this and eat it,' he said,

'this is my body.'"

 Matthew 26:26

Jesus is the bread of life.

He was broken for us.

He gave everything.

He gave us his life.

We have truly been blessed.

(December 4, 2014 Thu 7:11 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"In the Lord's eyes,

one day is as a thousand years

and a thousand years are as a day.

The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise ---

though some consider it delay.'"

 2 Peter 3:8-9

God is beyond time.

We can't understand this.

God's timing is perfect.

We are part of time.

Make use of the little time that you have.

(December 2, 2014 Tue 7:11 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"Praise be the God and Father

of our Lord Jesus Christ,

who has bestowed on us in Christ

every spiritual blessing in the heavens!"

 Ephesians 1:3

God is good.

He blesses us all the time.

Receive these gifts from heaven.

Give praise to Jesus.

(November 30, 2014 Sun 7:43 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

This song plays over and over in my mind the last few days.

At 1:57 it plays the lyrics that say:

"Neither life nor death could separate us..."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeLCuB8rU2Y

"For I am certain that neither death nor life,

neither angels, nor principalities,

neither the present nor the future, nor powers,

neither height nor depth nor any other creature,

will be able to separate us

from the love of God

that comes to us in Christ Jesus, our Lord."

 Romans 8:38-39

There is nothing that can get in your way.

The path to Jesus is clear.

Come and meet him.

Hold on to his promises.

(November 28, 2014 Fri 7:23 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"'Which of these three, in your opinion,

was neighbor to the man

who fell in with the robbers?'

The answer came,

'The one who treated him with compassion.'

Jesus said to him,

'Then go and do the same.'"

 Luke 10:36-37

Many people are hurting.

They are in pain.

Comfort them.

Have compassion for them.

(November 27, 2014 Thu 7:49 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,

for his mercy endures forever;

Give thanks to the God of gods,

for his mercy endures forever;

Give thanks to the Lord of lords,

for his mercy endures forever."

 Psalms 136:1-3

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

God is very good to us.

Give thanks and praise to him today.

He is wonderful indeed.

(November 24, 2014 Mon 7:16 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,

for his kindness endures forever!"

 Psalms 107:1

Make it a week of Thanksgiving.

Get a piece of paper and

write down all that you are thankful for.

Study it all week.

His kindness is amazing.

He is very good to us.

(November 23, 2014 Sun 7:36 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"For your kindness is a greater good than life;

my lips shall glorify you.

Thus will I bless you while I live;

lifting up my hands, I will call upon your name.

As with the riches of a banquet

shall my soul be satisfied,

and with exultant lips my mouth shall praise you."

 Psalms 63:3-5 or 4-6

Give praise to God.

It is Sunday.

Attend church today.

Lift up your hands in worship.

Your soul will be healed.

(November 16, 2014 Sun 8:57 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

We got 2 or 3 inches of snow yesterday here in Omaha.

It looks like instant wintertime.

"We know, too,

that the Son of God has come

and has given us discernment

to recognize the One who is true.

And we are in the One who is true,

for we are in his Son Jesus Christ.

He is the true God and eternal life."

 1 John 5:20

Be true to your word.

Believe in Jesus.

Have faith in him always.

Recognize him.

Come and follow him.

(November 9, 2014 Sun 8:02 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

The election is over.

My phone has stopped ringing many times each day.

"He will strengthen you to the end,

so that you will be blameless

on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful,

and it was he who called you to fellowship

with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."

 1 Corinthians 1:8-9

He is your strength each and every day.

Go to him.

Be holy.

Be faithful.

Have fellowship with him.

Call to him daily.

(November 3, 2014 Mon 7:11 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"The feast was half over by the time Jesus went

into the temple area and began to teach.

The Jews were filled with amazement and said:

'How did this man get his education

when he had no teacher?'"

 John 7:14-15

Jesus is God.

He knows all things.

He has all wisdom and understanding.

Listen to him.

Be amazed.

(November 2, 2014 Sun 8:10 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"When his parents saw him they were astonished,

and his mother said to him:

'Son, why have you done this to us?

You see that your father and I

have been searching for you in sorrow.'

He said to them:

'Why did you search for me?

Did you not know I had to be in my Father's house?'

But they did not grasp what he said to them."

 Luke 2:48-50

I wonder what he taught the people in the temple for a few days.

I sometime pray that the Lord will teach us the same things.

Jesus, teach us what you taught them in the temple.

There is so much to learn.

(October 26, 2014 Sun 7:27 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"Can a mother forget her infant,

be without tenderness

for the child of her womb?

Even should she forget,

I will never forget you.

See, upon the palms of my hands

I have written your name..."

 Isaiah 49:15-16

This has happened to me in real life in the last few months.

My Mom does not know who I am when I go to see her.

I have to tell her who I am.

God bless her and all my family.

But the Lord will never forget me.

(October 23, 2014 Thu 6:57 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"Every worthwhile gift,

every genuine benefit

comes from above,

descending from the Father

of the heavenly luminaries,

who cannot change and

who is never shadowed over."

 James 1:17

Thank the Lord for his many gifts.

He has truly blessed us.

Here in Omaha we are about 10 inches of rain above normal.

Give praise to the Lord.

(October 22, 2014 Wed 7:06 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"In contrast

the fruit of the spirit is

love, joy, peace,

patient endurance, kindness, generosity,

faith, mildness, and chastity."

 Galatians 5:22-23

You believe in God.

You follow Jesus daily.

There should be fruits.

Now is the season.

(October 19, 2014 Sun 7:23 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"In times past,

God spoke in fragmentary and varied ways

to our fathers through the prophets;

in this, the final age,

he has spoken to us through his Son,

whom he has made heir of all things and

through whom he first created the universe."

 Hebrews 1:1-2

Jesus is God.

He is the Lord.

Read his words in the Gospels.

He is speaking to you.

He loves you very much.

He wants the best for you.

(October 13, 2014 Mon 7:04 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"My brothers (and sisters),

count it pure joy

when you are involved in every sort of trial.

Realize that when your faith is tested

this makes for endurance.

Let endurance come to its perfection

so that you may be fully mature

and lacking in nothing."

 James 1:2-4

It is the Lord that gives you strength.

You will endure to the end.

The Lord will be your source.

You have all that you need.

(October 12, 2014 Sun 8:07 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"These are the two olive trees and two lampstands

which stand in the presence

of the Lord of the earth."

 Revelation 11:4

Be an olive tree that grows.

Be a lampstand that gives light.

Stand in the presence of God.

Give glory to the Lord.

(October 9, 2014 Thu 7:09 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"Jesus summoned the Twelve and

began to send them out two by two

giving them authority over unclean spirits.

He instructed them to take nothing on the journey

but a walking stick --- no food, no traveling bag,

not a coin in the purses in their belts."

 Mark 6:7-8

The simple life --- can you find it?

We have way more than we need.

Give all the extra stuff away to help the poor.

Keep the distractions to a minimum.

Depend on the Lord for all your needs.

You have authority --- use it.

(October 8, 2014 Wed 7:10 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"Day after day,

both in the temple and at home,

they never stopped teaching and

proclaiming the good news

of Jesus the Messiah."

 Acts 5:42

It is a daily thing.

Be a witness to Jesus.

Share the truth.

Proclaim good news to all that you meet.

(October 6, 2014 Mon 6:59 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

This was one of the Bible readings at church yesterday.

"Brothers and sisters:
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters,
whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious,
if there is any excellence
and if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things.
Keep on doing what you have learned and received
and heard and seen in me.
Then the God of peace will be with you.
"

 Philippians 4:6-9

Think about what is true, honorable, and lovely.

Guard your heart and mind.

Have no anxiety.

God will bring you peace.

(October 5, 2014 Sun 7:05 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"Our belief is rather

that we are saved

by the favor of the Lord Jesus Christ

and so are they."

 Acts 15:11

God's blessings are offered to everyone.

You are invited to the celebration of life.

Will you respond?

Will you receive this priceless gift?

Jesus, I believe in you.

Save me, Lord.

Give me new life.

Forgive my sins.

I want to be with you forever.

(October 4, 2014 Sat 10:42 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"The message of the cross is complete absurdity

to those who are headed for ruin,

but to us who are experiencing salvation

it is the power of God."

 1 Corinthians 1:18

Study the cross.

It is a something we see every day worn by many people.

Do they know what it means?

It is a symbol of great love.

It is the power of God.

(October 3, 2014 Fri 7:09 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

God bless all those who are in grief today.

Comfort them, Lord.

(September 29, 2014 Mon 7:14 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

It is different trying to change the text with the new ISP editor.

It will take some time to get used to it.

"This means that you are strangers

and aliens no longer.

No you are fellow citizens of the saints and

members of the household of God."
Ephesians 2:19

You will encounter strange settings and places,

but God will be there to help you through it.

It will be different.

You are a citizen of heaven.

(September 28, 2014 Sun 7:50 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

I'm trying to move Spring2Life.com
to a new ISP.
It takes some effort apparently.
The old ISP is going away after 18 years.

"I command you: be firm and steadfast!
Do not fear nor be dismayed,

God is with you.

(September 27, 2014 Sat 9:18 AM CDT) (NEW ISP)

"At these words,
those who were about to interrogate him backed away.
The commander became alarmed
because he realized that in restraining Paul
he had restrained a citizen of Rome."
Acts 22:29

Your citizenship is in heaven.
It is not here on earth.
You have tremendous rights.
Call on the Lord of all creation.
Do not back away.
Stand up for what is yours.

(September 21, 2014 Sun 7:01 AM CDT)

Pray for the brother of a friend of mine
that is sick with a tumor on their liver.
Heal him, Lord.
We call on you, Jesus, to help him.

because of your faith in Christ Jesus.
All of you who have been baptized into Christ
have clothed yourselves with him."

You are a son or daughter.
Talk to your Father in heaven each day.
He loves you very much.
Respond to this love.

(September 20, 2014 Sat 7:51 AM CDT)

"Happy the man (or woman)
who holds out to the end through trial!
Once he has been proved,
he will receive the crown of life
the Lord has promised
to those who love him."

Hang in there.
Life is difficult.
It is a challenge.
The Lord has promised life to you.

he intended to visit."

before our God and Father
of the way you are proving your faith,
and laboring in love,

in our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

You are amazing.
You are doing an awesome job.
Keep up the good work.
God bless you today and always.

(September 11, 2014 Thu 7:07 AM CDT)

the Lord Jesus Christ
grant the brothers (and sisters)
peace and love and faith.

who love our Lord Jesus Christ
with unfailing love."

God bless you today.
May God grant you peace in this troubled world.
He loves you very much.
He never fails.

(September 10, 2014 Wed 6:53 AM CDT)

"On their way out
they met a Cyrenian named Simon.
This man they pressed into service
to carry the cross."
Matthew 27:32

Simon helped.
He was of service to the Lord.
We are all called to serve.
Carry the cross for one another.

(September 9, 2014 Tue 6:16 AM CDT)

"Jesus said to them again,
'Do you still not understand?'"
Mark 8:21

Read what Jesus said and did.
Study the Bible.

Jesus, explain the Bible to us.
We need your guidance.

(September 8, 2014 Mon 7:01 AM CDT)

"Grant to your servants,
even as they speak your words,
complete assurance
by stretching forth your hand
in cures and signs and wonders
to be worked in the name of Jesus,
your holy Servant."

Come, Jesus.
Heal your people.
We call out your name.
Stretch forth your hand and touch us.

(September 7, 2014 Sun 7:47 AM CDT)

"I speak to you with utter frankness
and boast much about you.
I am filled with consolation,
and despite my many afflictions
my joy knows no bounds."
2 Corinthians 7:4

How is that possible?
You have many problems and
yet you have joy unspeakable.
It is the work of God in your life.
Praise the Lord in all circumstances.

(September 2, 2014 Tue 6:35 AM CDT)

"We exhort you to admonish the unruly;
cheer the fainthearted,
support the weak;
be patient toward all.
See that no one returns evil to any other;
always seek one another's good and,
for that matter, the good of all."
1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

Give support to those who are down.
Be patient with others.
Seek the common good.
Seek the will of God.

(September 1, 2014 Mon 8:11 AM CDT)

"Timothy, guard what has been committed to you.
Stay clear of worldly, idle talk and
the contradictions of what
is falsely called knowledge.
In laying claim to such knowledge,
some men have missed the goal of faith.
Grace be with you."
1 Timothy 6:20-21

Don't miss it.
Do not miss your goal.
Ignore the distractions.
Aim for eternal life with Jesus.
Grace be with you.

(August 31, 2014 Sun 7:22 AM CDT)

and your holy spirit take not from me.
Give me back the joy of your salvation,
and a willing spirit sustain in me."
Psalms 51:12-14 or 51:10-12

Ask and you shall find.
Seek holiness.
Open your heart to the Lord.
Find joy and peace.
Renew your spirit.

(August 30, 2014 Sat 9:11 AM CDT)

"Thus it was that John the Baptizer
appeared in the desert,
proclaiming a baptism of repentance
which led to the forgiveness of sins.
All the Judean countryside and
the people of Jerusalem
went out to him in great numbers.
They were being baptized by him
in the Jordan River
as they confessed their sins."
Mark 1:4-5

Yes, confess your sins.
Be baptized in the name of Jesus.
Receive the grace of God.
Come and receive forgiveness.
Jesus, I confess my sins.
Forgive me, Lord.
Give me new life.

(August 28, 2014 Thu 7:11 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"Because of my name,
you will be hated by everyone.
Nonetheless, the man who holds out till the end
is the one who will come through safe."
Mark 13:13

Stand up for your faith.
People will not like you.
That is just the way it is.
Jesus is by your side.
He will keep you safe.

(August 26, 2014 Tue 7:07 AM CDT)

"When she noticed Peter warming himself,
she looked at him more closely and said,
'You too were with Jesus of Nazareth.'
But he denied it:
'I do not know what you are talking about!
What are you getting at?'"
Mark 14:67-68

Don't deny it.
You love the Lord.
You are a follower of Jesus.
Admit the truth.

(August 25, 2014 Mon 7:23 AM CDT)

"A third time Jesus asked him,
'Simon, son of John, do you love me?'
Peter was hurt because he had asked a third time,
'Do you love me?'
So he said to him:
'Lord, you know everything.
You know well that I love you.'
Jesus said to him,
'Feed my sheep.'"
John 21:17

Do you love Jesus?
Is he important to you?
Does he mean everything to you?
Tell him that you love him.
Jesus, I love you.

(August 24, 2014 Sun 7:07 AM CDT)

"Yet in bestowing his benefits,
he has not hidden himself completely,
without a clue.
From the heavens he sends down
rain and rich harvests;
your spirits he fills with
food and delight."
Acts 14:17

The Lord has been good to us.
We have sufficient rain
to grow the crops this year.
He has blessed us spiritually
with abundant grace.
Delight in the Lord.

(August 23, 2014 Sat 10:58 AM CDT)

"See, I write to you
in my own large handwriting!"
Galatians 6:11

Paul had eye problems.
I have eye problems.
I do write in large letters sometimes.
Many people have eye problems.
We need to see accurately.
Focus on the Lord and his writings.

(August 22, 2014 Fri 7:10 AM CDT)

Do not neglect to show hospitality,
for by that means
some have entertained angels
without knowing it."

God will bless you.

(August 17, 2014 Sun 6:49 AM CDT)

count it pure joy when you are involved
in every sort of trial.

this makes for endurance.

so that you may be fully mature
and lacking in nothing."

Grow in grace and holiness.

Jesus is by your side.
Be fully mature.
This is a test.

(August 14, 2014 Thu 7:17 AM CDT)

"Behold, how good it is,
and how pleasant,
where brethren dwell at one!"
Psalms 133:1

Peace is precious.
We pray for peace in the Middle East
and around the world.
Try to get along with all those near you.
Pray for everyone that you meet today
and that live near you in your neighborhood.
God bless them all.

(August 12, 2014 Tue 6:35 AM CDT)

"Jesus then said to his disciples:
'If man wishes to come after me,
he must deny his very self,
take up his cross, and
begin to follow in my footsteps.
Whoever would save his life
will lose it,
but whoever loses his life
for my sake will find it.
What profit would a man show
if he were to gain the whole world
and destroy himself in the process?"
Matthew 16:24-26

It is a win-win situation.
You believe in Jesus.
You follow him.
You live a life of service.
You gain eternal life.
You find it.

(August 11, 2014 Mon 6:57 AM CDT)

Then the angel spoke, addressing the women:
"Do not be frightened.
I know you are looking for Jesus the crucified,
but he is not here.
He has been raised, exactly as he promised.
Come and see the place where he was laid.
Then go quickly and tell his disciples:
'He has been raised from the dead and
now goes ahead of you to Galilee,
where you will see him.'
That is the message I have for you."
Matthew 28:5-7

It is a message for you.
Yes, Jesus died on the cross,
but he rose from the dead.
He is not in the tomb.
He is alive.
He has the power over life and death.
That is the message of the angel to you.

Jesus taught,
"Some fell among briers, and
the thorns growing up with it stifled it.
But some fell on good soil, grew up,
and yielded grain hundredfold."
Luke 8:7-8

The Lord plants seeds of faith.
Will they grow?
Will they thrive?
He expects great results.
Grow up.

"Jesus explained to them:
'I myself am the bread of life.
No one who comes to me shall ever be hungry,
no one who believes in me shall ever thirst.'"
John 6:35

There is no one like Jesus.
He is the answer to your prayers.
He is wholeness.
He is where you are.
He is completeness.

"Thus did the word of the Lord
continue to spread
with influence and power."
Acts 19:20

It will change your life.
It will change you.
