The two disciples heard what he said and followed Jesus.
When Jesus turned around and noticed them following him,
he asked them,
"What are you looking for?"
They said to him,
"Rabbi, where do you stay?"
"Come and see," he answered.
So they went to see where he was lodged,
and stayed with him that day.
Jesus, we are following you.
Where are you taking us today?
Can we stay with you today also?
We will never be at home until we are with you.
Jesus, lead us to the truth.
Show us the path that leads to life.
Do not let us become lost.
We follow you, O Lord. Keep us safe from harm.
Teach us your ways. Speak to us, O Lord.
We are listening.
We are hungry. Feed us, O Lord.
We are not even sure what we need.
Give us our daily needs --- whatever it is that we need.
You are our only need. You are our shelter.
Can we stay with you today?
Can we stay with you forever?
Protect us, O Lord. We are so weak.
Give us words to continue our journey today.
Strengthen us, O Lord Jesus.
You are our strength.
Thank you, Jesus, for providing a home for us.
Bring us all home one day.
Thanks for praying with me and for me.
Thanks for teaching us how to pray.
