You gave us our brains to think. You created us.
We admit our dependence on you.
You gave us our hands, arms, legs to do your work.
Keep us on the straight path that leads to you, O Lord.
Never let us be distracted from our calling.
We are here to serve you, O Lord.
Use us, O Lord.
You are the only wise one.
We come to you for wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
Grant us an ear to hear you, O Lord.
Give us light to see your truth.
We see the candles ---
You are the light of the world.
Give us this light today. We are in darkness.
