The Lord is my light and my salvation:
whom should I fear?
The Lord is my life's refuge;
of whom should I be afraid?
Jesus, you are the light of the world.
You cast out all fear.
You drive the darkness of sin away.
We trust in you.
Free us from fear.
Save us from sin.
Protect us from evil.
Give us the light of your Holy Spirit.
Give us your wisdom.
Help us turn from sin.
Help us to listen to you and not the world.
The world says that sin is "no problem".
Make us into your children.
Help us to do your will.
Help us to listen to you.
Open up the words of the Bible to us.
Give us time to read the Bible.
We have so much to learn.
Help us to understand your ways, O Lord.
You are our protection.
You are our strength.
You are our only hope.
Thank you, Jesus, for showing us the way.
