Lord have mercy
God is good

God is great

Love the Lord with your whole heart

Seek truth

The Father and I are one

"Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
Samuel was among those who called on his name;
they called on the Lord,
and he answered them."
Psalms 99:6

Our God is faithful.
He is faithful through all generations.
Call out to the Lord today.
Jesus, we call out to you.
Come and save us.
Rescue us, Lord.
We need you.

(June 29, 2003 6:14 AM CDT)

Have you registered your phone numbers
on the National Do Not Call Registry ?
I got right in, just now.
I get calls about twice a day from
"OUT-OF-AREA" with no phone number showing.
You run to get the phone
and it's a computer calling you.

Jesus said,
"Everyone who practices evil hates the light;
he does not come near it
for fear his deeds will be exposed.
But he who acts in truth
comes into the light, to make it clear
that his deeds are done in God."
John 3:20-21

Do you want others to know what you are doing?
Would you be ashamed?
Would you be embarrassed?
Live in the light.
Do things that you would be proud to display.
Live for Jesus.
Walk in his ways.

My favorite song this week is
"Where is the Love?" by
Black Eyed Peas .
Click on "FULL LENGTH" under
'Where Is The Love' to see the video.
The lyrics of the song are here.

Jesus said to Paul,
"My grace is enough for you,
for in weakness power reaches perfection."
2 Corinthians 12:9

The Lord is there in your weakness.
Call on the Lord Jesus and his power.
You and the Lord can do amazing things.
He is your strength.
Go to him.
His grace is enough.

What is the first word of the new
Harry Potter book ?
You can guess and get it right.
The answer is near the bottom of this page.

"Peter found a man named Aeneas,
a paralytic who had been bedridden for 8 years.
Peter said to him,
'Aeneas, Jesus Christ cures you!
Get up and make your bed.'
The man got up at once.
All the inhabitants of Lydda and Sharon,
upon seeing him, were converted to the Lord."
Acts 9:33-35

Are you sick?
Has it been a long time?
Jesus Christ cures you!
He is the answer to your prayers.
Ask him to heal you today.
In the name of Jesus be made well.
I am praying for you.
You don't need magic you need Jesus.

(June 26, 2003 6:10 AM CDT)

"Many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the events
which have been fulfilled in our midst,
precisely as those events were transmitted to us
by the original eyewitnesses and ministers of the word."
Luke 1:1-2

They tried to write it all down.
They wanted to capture it all.
They wanted to preserve a record of what happened.
Read the Bible.
Read about what the eyewitnesses have to say.
They saw Jesus with their own eyes.
They heard what he said.
They wanted you to know him, also.
He meant a lot to them.
They made an effort to pass this along to you.

(June 25, 2003 6:03 AM CDT)

"There is cause for rejoicing here.
You may for a time have to suffer
the distress of many trials;
but this is so that your faith,
which is more precious
than the passing splendor of fire-tried gold,
may by its genuineness lead to
praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ appears."
1 Peter 1:6-7

Is life difficult for you?
Are you under a lot of stress?
Are you depressed?
This is a time of trial for you.
You and the Lord Jesus will make it through this.
Hang in there.
Give glory to God.
He is your strength.

(June 24, 2003 6:07 AM CDT)

Yes, my phone is working again, as you can see.
It is 78 F degrees this morning.
It is warm.

"In the ark were the golden jar containing the manna,
the rod of Aaron which had blossomed,
and the tablets of the covenant."
Hebrews 9:4

Wouldn't that be something to see ---
to see the Ark of the Covenant?
People have searched and searched for it.
They have not found it.
I suggest looking for a greater treasure.
Look for something more precious.
This is a treasure that no person can steal from you.
That treasure is to know Jesus
and have him in your heart.
Then you can blossom with him.

(June 23, 2003 6:07 AM CDT)

I'm writing this off-line because my phone does not work.
We have had a lot of thunderstorms during the night
and a wire is probably down somewhere close or
lightning damaged some electrical equipment.
I always unplug my computer from the wall
when storms are threatening.
I will upload this later today.

"You are aware that it was a bodily ailment
that first occasioned my bringing you the gospel."
Galatians 4:13

Sometimes things happen and we don't know why.
Here Paul was sick and had to delay his plans.
He had to stay with these people.
He shared with them the good news of Jesus.
God can bring much good from our side trips.
When the unexpected happens
expect God to be at work.
My phone is dead, but God is still at work.
How did we ever get along
without phones, Internet and electricity?

(June 22, 2003 6:54 AM CDT)

"Thanks be to God,
who unfailingly leads us on in Christ's triumphal train,
and employs us to diffuse the fragrance
of his knowledge everywhere!"
2 Corinthians 2:14

That is one thing that the Internet does not have.
You can't smell a fragrance via your computer.
(Ellwood Ivey Jr. is working on this .)
We are all called to spread this fragrance.
With Christ he leads us.
He calls us.
We are all over the globe.
Make the world a sweet smelling place.

(June 21, 2003 7:13 AM CDT)

"For I long to see you
and share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen you ---
rather, what I wish is that we may be mutually encouraged
by our common faith."
Romans 1:11-12

Share your faith.
Get out and see people.
Talk to them.
Listen to them.
Encourage them.
God will help you in this effort.
He will bring people into your life.

(June 20, 2003 6:08 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"Lying speech is the devil's native tongue;
his is a liar and the father of lies."
John 8:44

Don't believe what the devil says.
It is not true.
He says you have all the time in the world (you don't).
He says that you can do whatever you want (not true).
There is no truth in him (verse 44).
Who are you going to believe?
Believe in Jesus.
Trust in him alone.
(Read the story "The Bridge is Out" .)

A few days ago I downloaded the
Savings Bond Wizard
to keep track of my U.S. Savings Bonds.
It might be helpful to you, also.

Jesus said,
"Whoever would preserve his life will lose it,
whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's
will preserve it."
Mark 8:35

Don't hold on too tight to this life.
You are not meant to stay here forever.
Your destiny is with God in heaven.
Look up.
Don't let the little things bother you.
Keep Jesus in sight.

(June 18, 2003 6:01 AM CDT)

"Seventy is the sum of our years,
or eighty, if we are strong."
Psalms 90:10

We are only here a short time.
70 or 80 years go by quickly.
Use your time well.
Give your life to Jesus.
Give your time to Jesus.
Be strong in the Lord.

(June 17, 2003 6:00 AM CDT)

"Let our people devote themselves to honest work
in order to take care of their needs,
so that they may be in position to live fruitful lives."
Titus 3:14

When you work do a good job.
Put your time in.
Be honest with all that is transacted.
Do something that is pleasing to God.
Think about how to do your job better.
Call on the Holy Spirit to help you.
Your life will bear fruit.

The College World Series is going on in Omaha now.
God bless all the players and their families.

"Everyone must be careful how they build.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one
that has been laid, namely Jesus Christ."
1 Corinthians 3:10-11

What are you doing with your life?
Is it built on the solid ground of Jesus?
Do you live on a sure foundation?
Be careful.
Base your life on Jesus.

(June 15, 2003 8:51 AM CDT)

Happy Father's Day!
God bless all the fathers.

Jesus said,
"People will come from the east and the west,
from the north and the south,
and will take their place
at the feast in the kingdom of God.
Some who are last will be first and
some who are first will be last."
Luke 13:29-30

The invitation is given to all people (even you).
There is a place for you at the feast.
Will you attend?
Will you be there?
Jesus invites you to come.
What do you say?

(June 14, 2003 10:16 AM CDT)

"That day as evening drew on Jesus said to them,
'Let us cross over to the farther shore.'
Leaving the crowd,
they took him away in the boat
in which he was sitting,
while the other boats accompanied him."
Mark 4:35-36

Do you listen to Jesus?
Do you respond to his requests?
If he asks you to go somewhere, do you go?
Set out with the Lord on an adventure.
Go to distant shores, if he asks you.

(June 13, 2003 6:14 AM CDT)

"I have waited, waited for the Lord,
and he stooped toward me and heard my cry.
He drew me out of the pit of destruction,
out of the mud of the swamp;
He set my feet upon a crag;
he made firm my steps.
And he put a new song into my mouth,
a hymn to our God.
Many shall look on in awe
and trust the Lord."
Psalms 40:1-4

Jesus is new life.
He is a smile on your face.
He is joy in your heart.
You find yourself singing songs.
Let him save you from the pit.
Trust the Lord.

The lake Lac Des Vaux in Verbier, Switzerland is back.
It was covered in snow all winter.
See the second picture on this link.

"I consider it my duty, as long as I live,
to prompt you with this reminder."
2 Peter 1:13

We need reminders.
We need to reread passages in the Bible.
There is great depth to God.
There is much to learn.
There are great treasures to discover.
Consider it a duty.

Billy Graham is in Oklahoma City this week.
If you live in that area, go and see him.
Pray for many people to come to know Jesus.

"Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has bestowed on us in Christ
every spiritual blessing in the heavens!"
Ephesians 1:3

What more could you ask for?
Jesus has blessed you.
You are his son or daughter.
Be glad and rejoice.
He loves you very much.

(June 10, 2003 6:10 AM CDT)

"If anyone is in Christ,
they are a new creation.
The old order has passed away;
now all is new!"
2 Corinthians 5:17

Christ is about new life.
It is new every morning.
Life with Christ is exciting.
It is a joy.
Be a new creation.

(June 9, 2003 6:16 AM CDT)

"Abraham never questioned or doubted God's promise;
rather, he was strengthened in faith
and gave glory to God,
fully persuaded that God could do
whatever he had promised."
Romans 4:20-21

Do you have faith?
Do you believe God's promises?
Abraham is our father in faith.
See what a wonderful example he set.
He believed and was immensely blessed.

(June 8, 2003 6:19 AM CDT)

"All were filled with the Holy Spirit.
They began to express themselves in foreign tongues
and make bold proclamation as the Spirit prompted them."
Acts 2:4

It is Pentecost Sunday.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to come to all of us.
Spirit of the living God, fall on us.
Renew the face of the earth.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Come, Spirit of life.

(June 7, 2003 8:53 AM CDT)

Today I was viewing the cameras at
Niagara Falls .
It is a very beautiful place.
You can zoom the cameras in and out.
Take a look.

Jesus said,
"I myself am the bread of life.
No one who comes to me shall ever be hungry,
no one who believes in me shall ever thirst."
John 6:35

Go to Jesus.
He is your source.
He will feed you.
He will give you strength.

(June 1, 2003 8:27 AM CDT)

Jesus said,
"A good tree does not produce decayed fruit
any more than a decayed true produces good fruit.
Each tree is known by its yield."
Luke 6:43-44

What are the results?
Did you accomplish anything?
Is your life a disaster?
Do you have any friends?
Are you in jail?
Seek the goodness of God
and your life will be different.
Do the will of the Lord.
Then check the results.
