(July 26, 2015 Sun 8:37 AM CDT)

Please, pray for a friend of mine.
She is sick again.
God be with her and her family.

Lately I have been working on what I call
PWT Perfect World Theory.
It is interesting.
For example:
In a perfect world there would be peace.
In a perfect world there would be no sickness.
In a perfect world everyone would have enough to eat.

"Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks,
and distributed them to those who were reclining,
and also as much of the fish as they wanted.
When they had had their fill, he said to his disciples,
'Gather the fragments left over,
so that nothing will be wasted.'
So they collected them,
and filled twelve wicker baskets with fragments
from the five barley loaves
that had been more than they could eat."

John 6:11-13

There is more than enough food for everyone in the world.
Jesus provides for all of us.
No one should be hungry.
Share with those in need.

(July 19, 2015 Sun 8:26 AM CDT)

On Thursday after work I found a gift card
on the floor of the parking garage.
It was all scraped up from cars running it over.
It looked worthless, but it was not.
It was there for anyone to pick up.
When I got home I checked the balance
on the web site for the company.
There was still $6.02 on it.
I will give the money to a charity.

"The treasure we possess in earthen vessels,
to make it clear
that its surpassing power
comes from God and not from us."
2 Corinthians 4:7

There is a great treasure.
It is hidden from view.
It is not apparent.
It is of great worth.
It is the power of God.
It lives inside you, if you believe in Jesus.

(July 17, 2015 Fri 10:29 AM CDT)

"In the ark were the golden jar containing the manna,
the rod of Aaron which had blossomed,
and the tablets of the covenant."
Hebrews 9:4

It is the Ark of the Covenant.
It contained precious things.
Truly treasures to be saved for future generations.
It is gone.
We have something more precious now.
It is the love of God in our hearts.
It is a treasure to behold.
You are blessed.

(July 12, 2015 Sun 8:43 AM CDT)

"The Spirit we have received
is not the world's spirit but God's Spirit,
helping us to recognize
the gifts he has given to us."
1 Corinthians 2:12

We need the Holy Spirit.
We need his wisdom and understanding.
Thank the Lord for this wonderful gift.
We are truly blessed.

(July 5, 2015 Sun 3:18 PM CDT)

Jesus prayed,
"Just Father,
the world has not known you,
but I have known you;
and these men have known that you sent me.
To them I have revealed your name,
and I will continue to reveal it,
so that your love for me may live in them,
and I may live in them."
John 17:25-26

Truth be told.
Jesus and the Father are one.
We pray to them.
We believe in them.
We receive life from them.
It is true.

(June 28, 2015 Sun 8:00 AM CDT)

"In those days Caesar Augustus published a decree
ordering a census of the whole world.
This first census took place
while Quirinius was governor of Syria.
Everyone went to register,
each to his own town.
And so Joseph went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee
to Judea, to David's town of Bethlehem ---
because he was of the house and lineage of David ---
to register with Mary, his espoused wife,
who was with child."

Luke 2:1-5

God can use our situation and circumstances.
Right where we are is where he can use us.
Be aware of the grace of God filling your life.
He will lead you to great accomplishments.
He is the Lord of all creation.

(June 26, 2015 Fri 8:19 AM CDT)

"'Please, Lord, she replied,
'even the dogs under the table
eat the family's leavings.'
Then Jesus said to her,
'For such a reply, be off now!
The demon has already left your daughter.'
When she got home,
she found the child lying in bed
and the demon gone."
Mark 7:28-30

There is evil in the world.
There are demons.
Beg the Lord Jesus to help.
Cast out the evil.
Be made whole again.
Restore life again.

(June 21, 2015 Sun 8:16 AM CDT)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever."
Psalms 118:1

Ask the Lord to forgive your sins.
We are not perfect.
His mercy is amazing.
Call on the name of Jesus.
He will set you free.

(June 14, 2015 Sun 4:19 PM CDT)

"Jesus said to them,
'Come after me and I will make you fishers of men.'
They immediately abandoned their nets and became his followers.
He walked along farther and caught sight of two other brothers,
James, Zebedee's son, and this brother John.
They too were in their boat,
getting their nets in order with their father, Zebedee.
He called them, and immediately
they abandoned boat and father to follow him."
Matthew 4:19-22

We are called.
Jesus wants us to follow him.
Can you do this?
Will you drop everything and give him your full attention?
Come and spend the rest of your life with him.

(June 7, 2015 Sun 9:06 AM CDT)

It was interesting to read what Sheryl Sandberg
had to say about the recent
death of her husband .

"Looking after orphans and widows in their distress
and keeping oneself unspotted by the world
make for pure worship without stain
before our God and Father."
James 1:27

We pray for widows today.
Every day is a struggle.
God bless them and comfort them.
God bless their children.
Help them anyway that you can.

(May 31, 2015 Sun 8:13 AM CDT)

We pray for police officer Kerrie Orozco and her family.
She was killed in Omaha on May 20th.
She went to the same church that my Mom attended.
I do remember seeing her at church over the last few years.

"The law came in order to increase offenses;
but despite the increase of sin,
grace has far surpassed it
so that, as sin reigned through death,
grace may reign by way of justice
leading to eternal life,
through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:20-21

There is sin and death in the world.
There is great sadness at times.
Jesus has overcome death.
Grace now reigns.
Receive the gift of eternal life.

(May 25, 2015 Mon 8:22 AM CDT)

I forgot to say Happy Pentecost yesterday.
Come Holy Spirit.

"When they heard this,
they were deeply shaken.
They asked Peter and the other apostles,
'What are we to do, brothers?'
Peter answered:
'You must reform and be baptized,
each one of you,
in the name of Jesus Christ,
that your sins may be forgiven;
then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
It was to you and your children
that the promise was made,
and to all those still far off
whom the Lord our God calls.'"
Acts 2:37-39

The Lord is calling you.
Come and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Receive forgiveness of your sins.
It is a promise to you and your family.
God will bless you.

(May 24, 2015 Sun 8:05 AM CDT)

The editor for the ISP changed somehow,
so I'm typing this in with plain text HTML.

"Jesus, however, knew their reasoning
and answered them by saying,
'Why do you harbor these thoughts?
Which is easier to say, Get up and walk?
In any case, to make it clear to you
that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins'
-- he then addressed the paralyzed man:
'I say to you, get up!
Take your mat with you, and return to your house.'"
Luke 5:22-24

Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth.
Ask him to forgive your sins.
Get up and leave your sins behind.
Follow the Lord closely.

(May 17, 2015 Sun 8:15 AM CDT)

We pray for all the people in Nepal

that are suffering greatly from the earthquakes.

"Jesus spoke these words while teaching

at the temple treasury.

Still, he went unapprehended,

because his hour had not yet come."

 John 8:20

There is a time for things to happen.

Jesus is in control.

He has a plan to save us.

Watch and be amazed at all that he can do.

(April 5, 2015 Sun 8:07 AM CDT)

Happy Easter to you and your family today

God bless you on this most holy day!

"Jesus said to her, 'Mary!'

She turned to him and said (in Hebrew),

'Rabbi!' (meaning 'Teacher').

Jesus then said:

'Do not cling to me,

for I have not yet ascended to the Father.

Rather, go to my brothers and tell them,

I am ascending to my Father and your Father,

to my God and your God!'

Mary Magdalene went to the disciples.

'I have seen the Lord!' she announced.

Then she reported what he had said to her."

 John 20:16-18

Jesus is alive.

He is not in the tomb.

He is life and light.

He is our hope for salvation.

(April 3, 2015 Fri 9:37 AM CDT)

It is Good Friday.

We remember what Jesus has done for us..

"Jesus was led away,

and carrying the cross by himself,

went out to what is called the

Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha).

There they crucified him,

and two others with him:

one on either side, Jesus in the middle.

Pilate had an inscription placed on the cross which read,

Jesus the Nazorean

The King of the Jews."

 John 19:16-19

Jesus gave his life for you.

He gave everything to save you.

Give thanks to him for his saving deed.

(March 29, 2015 Sun 8:58 AM CDT)

It is Palm Sunday.

Easter is one week away.

"Many people spread their cloaks on the road,

while others spread reeds

which they had cut in the fields.

Those preceding him as well as

those who followed cried out:

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

Blessed is the reign of our father David to come!

Hosanna in the highest!'

He entered Jerusalem and went into the temple precincts.

 Mark 11:8-11

Jesus is there.

He comes in triumph to Jerusalem.

He is the King of Kings.

He is Lord of all the nations.

(March 22, 2015 Sun 9:21 AM CDT)

Welcome to spring 2015.

"This means that if anyone is in Christ,

he (or she) is a new creation.

The old order has passed away;

now all is new!"

 2 Corinthians 5:17

You have been doing spring cleaning.

It is part of the newness of life.

The winter cold is going away.

New life is blooming.

Find new life in Christ.

(March 1, 2015 Sun 8:14 AM CST)

Time marches on.

"The fervent petition

of a holy man (or woman)

is powerful indeed."

 James 5:16

Pray often.

Petition the Lord.

Expect powerful results.

Give praise to God.

(February 22, 2015 Sun 8:41 AM CST)

It has been cold lately.

I keep asking when Spring will get here.

"When Joseph awoke

he did as the angel of the Lord

had directed him and

received Mary into his home as his wife."

 Matthew 1:24

Will you do what the Lord asks of you?

Will you follow his lead?

It is a narrow path.

You need help to find the road that leads to eternal life.

(February 20, 2015 Fri 7:00 AM CST)

"When a man (or woman) knows the right thing to do

and does not do it, he (or she) sins."

 James 4:17

What can you say?

You know what is right.

Why don't you do it?

Do the right thing that pleases God.

(February 17, 2015 Tue 7:01 AM CST)

Jesus said,

"I am the true vine

and my Father is the vinegrower.

He prunes away every barren branch,

but the fruitful ones he trims clean

to increase their yield."

 John 15:1-2

Lent starts tomorrow.

We begin a season of growing.

The Lord will trim the evil from our lives.

Be fruitful.

Stay connected to the vine.

(February 16, 2015 Mon 7:12 AM CST)

"Remember Lot's wife.

Whoever tries to preserve his life will lose it;

whoever loses it will keep it."

 Luke 17:32-33

Jesus said to love one another.

Give your life for others.

Think of them.

Serve them and preserve your life.

(February 15, 2015 Sun 7:51 AM CST)

"Be assured, then,

that faith without works is dead

as a body without breath."

 James 2:26

If you believe in Jesus,

it should be reflected in how you live.

Be a light to those near you.

Give witness to the saving grace of Christ.

Be a positive force.

(February 14, 2015 Sat 5:30 PM CST)

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your family.

"God so loved the world

that he gave his only Son,

that whoever believes in him may not die

but may have eternal life."

 John 3:16

It is amazing.

It is an amazing love.

God loves you.

He gave his life for you.

He wants you to be with him forever.

Believe in Jesus.

(February 9, 2015 Mon 7:07 AM CST)

The funeral for Glen was Saturday.

Keep the family in your prayers.

There was a great turnout at the church.

The family needs that support.

"It is my wish, then, that in every place

the men shall offer prayers

with blameless hands held aloft,

and be free from anger and dissention."

 1 Timothy 2:8

Lift up your hands in praise.

Give worship to God.

Forgive those who have hurt you.

Ask the Lord to forgive you.

Be at peace.

(February 1, 2015 Sun 8:40 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

The brother of a friend of mine

died a few days ago from cancer.

Please, pray for all of their family.

God be with them.

"Rejoice with those who rejoice,

weep with those who weep."

 Romans 12:15

Be present to people near you.

Comfort them.

There is a time to rejoice.

There is a time to be sad.

Jesus, come and be with us.

(January 30, 2015 Fri 8:19 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"This rather is what I commanded them.

Listen to my voice;

then I will be your God and you shall be my people.

Walk in all the ways that I command you,

so that you may prosper."

Listen to the Lord.

Ask for help.

He will lead you to life.

Praise the Lord.

Find many blessings.

"Some, indeed, were convinced by what Paul said;

others would not believe."

 Acts 28:24

You decide.

It is up to you.

Believe in Jesus.

Trust in him alone.

He is your salvation.

(January 23, 2015 Fri 8:40 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"God who reads the hearts of men,

showed his approval by granting

the Holy Spirit to them

just as he did to us.

He made no distinction between them and us,

but purified their hearts by means of faith also."

 Acts 15:8-9

Call on the Holy Spirit.

Receive the Spirit of life.

Purify your heart.

God loves everyone.

(January 20, 2015 Tue 7:12 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"Jesus then went down to Capernaum, a town of Galilee,

where he began instructing them on the Sabbath day.

They were spellbound by his teaching,

for his words had authority."

 Luke 4:31-32

Listen to Jesus.

Read his words.

They will instruct you.

We have much to learn.

(January 19, 2015 Mon 7:20 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

The last week or so,

I have been reading this chapter of the Bible each morning.

There are many things to consider.

"Love your fellow Christians always.

Do not neglect to show hospitality,

for by that means

some have entertained angels,

without knowing it."

 Hebrews 13:1-2

Show kindness at your church.

Be of service to them.

Be thoughtful for their needs.

God will bless your efforts.

Be an angel.

(January 18, 2015 Sun 8:41 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Yesterday I listened to a talk on the

LSST telescope.

Every 3 days they will be watching the southern sky

for any changes from a mountain top in Chile.

"Then Jesus went out to the mountain to pray,

spending the night in communion with God."

 Luke 6:12

Take time to get away.

Pray to God.

Spend time with him.

Seek him for wisdom and guidance.

He will change your life.

(January 13, 2015 Tue 7:06 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"As it was in the days of Noah,

so will it be in the days of the Son of Man.

They ate and drank, they took husbands and wives,

right up to the day Noah entered the ark ---

and when the flood came, it destroyed them all."

 Luke 17:26-27

The end will come one day for each of us.

It is called Judgment Day.

We have to stand before God.

Are you ready to face the Lord?

(January 12, 2015 Mon 7:13 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Yesterday at the nursing home Esther told me I was lucky.

I did not acknowledge her statement.

I thought to myself: I am blessed.

God has done many wonderful things for me.

"For here we have no lasting city;

we are seeking one which is to come."

 Hebrews 13:14

The things of this world are passing away.

Don't hold on to them.

Let go and be set free.

Seek the eternal city of God.

(January 11, 2015 Sun 8:06 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

"When Jesus came out

wearing the crown of thorns

and the purple cloak,

Pilate said to them,

'Look at the man!'"

 John 19:5

Look at what we have done.

You see Jesus suffering for all our sins.

He was innocent.

Have mercy on my soul.

Forgive me, Lord.

(January 9, 2015 Fri 7:22 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Today is the funeral for my uncle.

Thanks for praying for my family.

See the wonders of God.

It will change your life.

(January 4, 2015 Sun 8:31 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

My uncle passed away yesterday.

Please, pray for all of our family.

God be with us and comfort us.

"Indeed, this is the will of my Father,

that everyone who looks upon the Son

and believes in him

shall have eternal life.

Him I will raise up on the last day."

 John 6:40

My uncle believed in Jesus.

He went to church and prayed often.

The Lord will welcome him home.

He believed in him for eternal life.

(January 1, 2015 Thu 7:49 AM CST) (NEW ISP)

Happy New Year!

God bless you this year and always!

"This means that if anyone is in Christ,

he is a new creation.

The old order has passed away;

now all is new!"

 2 Corinthians 5:17

There is something about a new year.

You want to change your life.

You want to fix/update something in your house or apartment.

Do something different.

It is a fresh start.

Start with Jesus.

He is new life every single day.

I moved the old things to (Almost) Daily Updates .

on this Internet site.
