(October 31, 2001 6:06 AM CST)

Read Philemon 1 .

"My prayer is that your sharing of the faith with others
may enable you to know all the good
which is ours in Christ." (verse 6)
You have no idea how much you are blessed.
Christ is part of your life.
He is there to help you in all things.
He protects you.
He gives you good gifts.
"He has become in truth Onesimus (Useful)..." (verse 11)
Let the Lord use you.
He can accomplish great things with you.
Be open to the truth about yourself.
"If then you regard me as a partner,
welcome him as you would me." (verse 17)
Welcome your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Treat them as a partner in the faith.
Let us honor each other with much respect.

(October 30, 2001 6:05 AM CST)

Read Titus 3 .

"He saved us through the baptism of new birth
and renewal by the Holy Spirit." (verse 5)
Be baptized.
The Lord Jesus wants to save you from death.
He wants to renew your life.
He gives you a new birth.
"You can depend on this to be true." (verse 8)
It is the truth.
Jesus is the truth.
You can depend on him.
"Let our people devote themselves to honest work
in order to take care of their needs,
so that they may be in position to live fruitful lives." (verse 14)
God bless our work.
Do the best you can for your company.
God will bless and multiply your efforts.
He will supply all our needs.

(October 29, 2001 6:06 AM CST)

Read Titus 2 .

"The grace of God has appeared,
offering salvation to all people." (verse 11)
Grace has been poured out on us.
We have been blessed.
We change our lives to point to Jesus.
He is the one to save us.
"We await our blessed hope,
the appearing of the glory of the great God
and of our Savior Christ Jesus." (verse 13)
Come Lord Jesus.
Come into our hearts.
Come and change us.
You are our hope.

(October 28, 2001 7:33 AM CST)

Use your extra hour today to give praise to God.
Attend church today.

Read Titus 1 .

"My purpose in leaving you in Crete
was that you might accomplish
what had been left undone..." (verse 5)
God has called you.
There is work to be done.
He wants you to build the kingdom.
You are to spread the faith.
Go and accomplish great things for the Lord.

(October 27, 2001 7:57 AM CDT)

Read 2 Timothy 4 .

"I charge you to preach the word,
to stay with this task whether convenient or inconvenient---
correcting, reproving, appealing ---
constantly teaching and never losing patience." (verse 2)
The word must go forth.
The good news must be proclaimed.
Never lose patience.
"I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith." (verse 7)
Keep going.
The Lord is with you.
Don't give up.
You will win the race for your life.
"I have no one with me but Luke." (verse 11)
There is Luke again.
He is a faithful friend.
He is a servant of the Lord Jesus.
He is a faithful writer of one of the gospels.
"But the Lord stood by my side and gave me strength..." (verse 17)
The Lord is there.
He is always there to help you.
Call on the name of the Lord for strength.

(October 26, 2001 5:58 AM CDT)

Read 2 Timothy 3 .

"Do not forget this:
there will be terrible times in the last days." (verse 1)
Part of life is suffering.
Not everything goes as you expect it should.
Keep focused on the Lord.
Have faith in him.
"You know what persecutions I have had to bear,
and you know how the Lord saved me from them all." (verse 11)
The Lord Jesus is faithful.
He is there to save you.
Call on his name to rescue you.
Jesus, save me.
"All Scripture is inspired of God
and is useful for teaching---
for reproof, correction and training in holiness..." (verse 16)
The word of God is powerful.
It will train you for the work of God.
It will inspire you to holiness and goodness.
Read the Bible.

(October 25, 2001 6:05 AM CDT)

Read 2 Timothy 2 .

"If one takes part in an athletic contest,
they cannot receive the winner's crown
unless they have kept the rules." (verse 5)
What are the rules?
You must believe in Jesus Christ.
You need to ask him to forgive your sins.
You then change your life toward God.
You live for the Lord.
Then you win the crown.
"Reflect on what I am saying,
for the Lord will make my meaning fully clear." (verse 7)
Think about the Lord.
Read his words in the Bible.
You may not fully understand today, but one day you will.
"You can depend on this:
If we have died with him,
we shall also live with him;
If we hold out to the end,
we shall also reign with him." (verse 11,12)
You can depend on the Lord.
He is faithful.
He will save us.
His promises are true.
"Pursue integrity, faith, love and peace,
along with those who call on the Lord
in purity of heart." (verse 22)
Pursue the Lord and his ways.
Live in faith.
Call on the Lord for help.

(October 24, 2001 6:07 AM CDT)

Read 2 Timothy 1 .

"Recalling your tears when we parted,
I yearn to see you again." (verse 4)
The Lord weeps for his lost children.
Return to him with all your heart.
He misses you.
"For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame
the gift of God bestowed when my hands were laid on you." (verse 6)
We must use the gifts of God.
He has given us the Holy Spirit for a reason.
Do what the Lord asks of you.
"Therefore, never be ashamed
of your testimony to our Lord..." (verse 8)
Speak up for the Lord Jesus.
He is the holy one.
He is the one to follow and believe in.
"Guard the rich deposit of faith
with the help of the Holy Spirit
who dwells within us." (verse 14)
Watch out.
Guard your faith.
Call on the Holy Spirit to increase your faith.
Increase our faith, Lord.

(October 23, 2001 5:58 AM CDT)

I added "A Word With You"
on the left side of this page.
Ron has some very good points.

Read 1 Timothy 6 .

"We brought nothing into this world,
nor have we the power to take anything out." (verse 7)
Everything is gift.
Be thankful.
Thank the Lord for his goodness.
"Those who want to be rich
are falling into temptation and a trap." (verse 9)
Do not be trapped.
Use money for good.
Use it to help others.
Be generous.
"Seek after integrity, piety, faith,
love, steadfastness and a gentle spirit." (verse 11)
Seek the priceless things.
Seek the good things that are free.
Do what is right.
"He is the blessed and only ruler,
the King of kings and Lord of lords..." (verse 15)
Give praise to God.
Worship the King.
Bless the name of the Lord Jesus.
He is the ruler of all creation.
"O Timothy, guard what has been committed to you." (verse 20)
Guard your faith.
This is so important.
Be on guard.

(October 22, 2001 6:04 AM CDT)

Read 1 Timothy 5 .

"If anyone does not provide for his own relatives
and especially for members of his immediate family,
they have denied the faith..." (verse 8)
Support your family.
Be there when they need you.
Help each other.
"I charge you before God, Christ Jesus, and the chosen angels:
apply these rules without prejudice,
act with complete impartiality!" (verse 21)
Confront those who lose their way.
Warn them of their situation.
God calls them back.
Pray for them to see the light and return.
"Some good deeds stand out clearly..." (verse 25)
May your life shine.
May the Lord be with you.
God bless your efforts today.

(October 21, 2001 9:02 AM CDT)

Read 1 Timothy 4 .

"...some will turn away from the faith..." (verse 1)
Come back home.
Come back to the Lord.
Jesus is your only hope.
You will never be happy without him.
"This explains why we work and struggle as we do;
our hopes are fixed on the living God..." (verse 10)
Work for the Lord.
Struggle to do good.
Fix your hopes on Christ and his promises.
"Let no one look down on you because of your youth..." (verse 12)
If you are 10 years old, live for the Lord.
If you have found the truth, it is the truth.
Give your heart to Jesus.
Do great things.
"Do not neglect the gift you received..." (verse 14)
God has given you the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Do not ignore it.
Use it for the glory of God.

(October 20, 2001 8:16 AM CDT)

Read 1 Timothy 3 .

"Wonderful, indeed, is the mystery of our faith..." (verse 16)
Faith is a gift.
It is a wonderful gift.
Let us give thanks to God.
He is wonderful.

(October 19, 2001 6:05 AM CDT)

Please, pray for my friend Dave and his family.
His Mom died a few days ago.
Thanks.

Read 1 Timothy 2 .

"I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving
be offered for all people,
especially for kings and those in authority,
that we may be able to lead undisturbed and tranquil lives
in perfect piety and dignity." (verse 1,2)
Pray for your leaders.
Pray that they are lead by the Holy Spirit.
God bless them all.
"...he wants all people to be saved
and come to know the truth." (verse 4)
Everyone is invited.
All are called.
The Lord wants to save all of us.
"It is my wish, then,
that in every place the people shall offer prayers
with blameless hands held aloft,
and be free from anger and dissension." (verse 8)
Raise your hands in praise to God.
Try to live in unity and peace.
Let us love one another and show we are Christians.

(October 18, 2001 6:02 AM CDT)

Read 1 Timothy 1 .

"What we are aiming at in this warning
is the love that springs from a pure heart,
a good conscience and sincere faith." (verse 5)
Have a heart that is pure and true.
Keep your conscience informed of the truth.
Sincerely trust the Lord.
"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me,
that he has made me his servant and judged me faithful." (verse 12)
Your strength is in the Lord.
Serve him well.
Be that faithful reliable servant.
"...the grace of the Lord has been granted me in overflowing measure,
along with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus." (verse 14)
God's grace is such a wonderful thing.
It is a tremendous blessing.
It is the love of God given to us daily.
"Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners." (verse 15)
He came to save us.
Thank him for all that he has done for us.
Praise the name of Jesus.

(October 17, 2001 6:02 AM CDT)

Read 2 Thessalonians 3 .

"Pray that we may be delivered from
confused and evil people." (verse 2)
There is evil in the world.
Pray for these confused people.
Jesus, we pray that they may know the truth.
Keep us safe, Lord.
"May the Lord rule your hearts in the love of God
and the constancy of Christ." (verse 5)
Let the Lord rule.
May your heart be renewed in Christ.
Constantly follow the Lord.
"We did not live lives of disorder
when we were among you..." (verse 7)
The Lord gives order to your life.
He gives you peace.
He gives you purpose.
"We used to lay down the rule that
anyone who would not work should not eat." (verse 10)
Do your part.
Help the community.
Do what you can.
"May he who is the Lord of peace
give you continued peace in every possible way." (verse 16)
We continue to pray for all the injured from September 11th.
May God give them peace and healing.
May he hold them close to his heart.

(October 16, 2001 5:58 AM CDT)

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 .

"You know what restrains him
until he shall be revealed in his own time." (verse 6)
God's timing is perfect.
When Jesus returns it will be the right time.
Look forward to this great day.
"You are the first fruits of those
whom God has chosen for salvation,
in holiness of spirit and fidelity to truth." (verse 13)
Grow in holiness.
Seek the truth.
You have been chosen.
"Therefore, brothers (and sisters), stand firm." (verse 15)
Stand on the word of God.
Stand on the rock that does not move.
May your faith be solid.

(October 15, 2001 6:02 AM CDT)

Please, pray for someone that wrote to me asking for prayer.
Thanks.

Read 2 Thessalonians 1 .

"Such as these will suffer the penalty of eternal ruin
apart for the presence of the Lord..." (verse 9)
You call for justice.
God is a just God.
Change your life and believe in God before it is too late.
God wants to save you.
Will you let him?
"We pray for you always that our God
may make you worthy of his call,
and fulfill by his power every honest intention
and work of faith." (verse 11)
What is your intention?
What were you trying to do?
Make God part of your intentions.
Let faith rule your life.

(October 14, 2001 7:30 AM CDT)

Read 1 Thessalonians 5 .

"...you know very well that the day of the Lord is coming
like a thief in the night." (verse 2)
Things change quite suddenly.
Are you ready for surprises?
It is the Lord Jesus who will prepare you.
He is there to guard you from evil.
"He died for us, that all of us, whether awake or asleep,
might live with him." (verse 10)
Jesus died for us.
Why did he do it?
He wants you to live with him forever.
Wake up.
"We exhort you to admonish the unruly; cheer the fainthearted;
support the weak; be patient toward all." (verse 14)
Encourage one another.
Think of others.
Support them.
"Do not stifle the Spirit." (verse 19)
God has a plan.
Go with the Holy Spirit.
Listen to the Spirit for directions.
"May he preserve you whole and entire, spirit, soul, and body,
irreproachable at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He who calls us is trustworthy,
therefore he will do it." (verse 23,24)
Let God accomplish great things in you.
Trust Jesus.
He will do it.

(October 13, 2001 8:10 AM CDT)

Read 1 Thessalonians 4 .

"You know the instructions we gave you in the Lord Jesus.
It is God's will that you grow in holiness:
that you abstain from immorality..." (verse 2,3)
Do what God asks of you.
Think of God often and not yourself.
You have been instructed.
"...for the Lord is the avenger of all such things..." (verse 6)
There is justice.
God administers what is fair.
Be on God's side.
"God himself has taught you to love one another..." (verse 9)
God is love.
He gave everything up for us.
He set us a wonderful example of love.
Do as he did.
"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose,
God will bring forth with him from the dead
those also who have fallen asleep believing in him." (verse 14)
Believe in the Lord Jesus.
He will save you.
He will save your family.
"Console one another with this message." (verse 18)
One day Jesus will come again.
He will come in glory and power.
Be ready.
Welcome him joyfully.

(October 12, 2001 6:09 AM CDT)

Read 1 Thessalonians 3 .

"We sent him to strengthen and encourage you
in regard to your faith lest any of you
be shaken by these trials." (verse 2,3)
These are trying times.
The FBI says that something might happen in the next few days.
It is difficult to keep focused.
Draw your strength from the Lord.
He will watch over you.
He will encourage you to continue.
"May he strengthen your hearts,
making them blameless and holy
before our God and Father..." (verse 13)
May your heart be strong.
May the Lord make you holy.
May you be blameless in the name of Jesus.

(October 11, 2001 6:05 AM CDT)

Read 1 Thessalonians 2 .

"We speak like those who strive to please God,
'the tester of our hearts'..." (verse 4)
Do what pleases God.
May your heart rejoice.
May you pass the test.
"We wanted to share with you not only God's tidings
but our very lives, so dear had you become to us." (verse 8)
Share your life with others.
Change the culture by your life.
Live for Christ.
"We encouraged and pleaded with you to make your lives worthy
of the God who calls you to his kingship and glory." (verse 12)
Be encouraged.
Live for the Lord.
He calls you to glory.
"...it truly is, the word of God
at work within you who believe." (verse 13)
The word of God in the Bible will change you.
It is working on you.
It is changing you.
Believe it.
"You are our boast and our delight." (verse 20)
Can the Lord say that to you today?
Delight the Lord.
Walk in his ways.

(October 10, 2001 6:07 AM CDT)

I received an email yesterday
asking for all drivers to turn their headlights on
for October 11th.
Drive all day with your lights on.
It will be one month since September 11th.
We did that in Omaha when a policeman
(Jimmy Wilson, Jr.) was killed
a few years ago to show our support.

Read 1 Thessalonians 1 .

"We keep thanking God for all of you
and remembering you in our prayers..." (verse 2)
Pray for the church.
Pray for your brothers and sisters.
Pray for all those who read S2L.
God bless you all.
"Our preaching of the gospel
proved not a mere matter of words for you
but one of power..." (verse 5)
When you read the Bible it is more than words.
There is life behind these words.
These are life changing words.
"The people of those parts are reporting
what kind of reception we had from you,
and how you turned to God from idols,
to serve him who is the living and true God..." (verse 9)
What is the report on you?
Do you receive people with love and caring?
Have you turned toward God?
Do you serve God?

(October 9, 2001 6:01 AM CDT)

Read Colossians 4 .

"Pray perseveringly, be attentive to prayer,
and pray in a spirit of thanksgiving." (verse 2)
Let us pray.
Let us pray for a quick end to this war.
Let us pray for our leaders to make the right decisions.
"Be prudent in dealing with outsiders;
make the most of every opportunity." (verse 5)
Share the good news with others.
Jesus is your best friend.
He will change their lives.
"Luke, our dear physician, sends you greetings." (verse 14)
The writer of a gospel is there with Paul.
If you are a doctor, heal the sick.
If you are a writer, write what you know about Jesus.
If you are a preacher, proclaim the gospel.
"Remember my chains." (verse 18)
Chains can't hold back the news.
Jesus is there for you.
He is there where you are.

(October 8, 2001 6:03 AM CDT)

Read Colossians 3 .

Yesterday at 24th and L Streets in Omaha
from 2 to 3 PM I held a sign
and prayed for an end to abortion.
Lord, hear our prayers for the unborn children.

"Be intent on things above rather than on things of earth." (verse 2)
When Christ comes into your life your values change.
Money and riches are not important.
What is important is life --- eternal life.
Have you found life?
"Put to death whatever in your nature is rooted in earth." (verse 5)
Push sin out of your life.
Ask Jesus to forgive your sins.
Call on the Lord for help to do good and avoid evil.
"Because you are God's chosen ones, holy and beloved,
clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy,
with kindness, humility, meekness and patience." (verse 12)
God has called you to a life of holiness.
Have mercy on others as God has had mercy on you.
Be kind and patient.
"Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you." (verse 13)
Forgive all those who have hurt you in any way.
Do not hold back on this forgiveness.
You need healing.
You need to move on with your life.
"Whatever you do, whether in speech or in action,
do it in the name of the Lord Jesus." (verse 17)
Can God bless what you are doing?
Ask yourself.
Do only things that please the Lord.

(October 7, 2001 10:04 AM CDT)

Have you ever heard Leann Rimes sing the National Anthem ?
Click on this link and track 12 for a sample of it.
It is very moving.

Read Colossians 2 .

"...namely Christ --- in whom every treasure
of wisdom and knowledge is hidden." (verse 2,3)
He is a wonderful mystery to behold.
He is very interesting.
He is exciting.
Learn more about him.
Seek the treasure.
"See to it that no one deceives you through any empty,
seductive philosophy that follows mere human traditions,
a philosophy based on cosmic powers
rather than on Christ." (verse 8)
Where do you find the truth?
Is it someone you just happen to run into at a party
or is the words in the Bible?
It is the latest book you have read
or God's words in the Bible?
Your "friend" tells you to steal something,
the Bible says not to steal.
What will you do?
Don't be deceived by anyone and what they say to you.
"In baptism you were not only buried with him
but also raised to life with him
because you believed in the power of God
who raised him from the dead." (verse 12)
Baptism changed you.
You died and were raised up.
It is life and death.
Live your life.
"The whole body, mutually supported and upheld by joints and sinews,
achieves a growth from this source which comes from God." (verse 19)
Where does your strength come from?
Is it the vitamins you take or food you eat?
It is life --- life from God.
He is your source.

(October 6, 2001 8:38 AM CDT)

The Statistics say that nytimes.html
is the most looked at page for S2L recently.

Read Colossians 1 .

"We always give thanks to God,
the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
in our prayers for you
because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and
the love you bear toward all the saints ---
moved as you are by the hope
held in store for you in heaven." (verse 3,4)
There is much to be thankful for.
Give praise to God.
Thank the Lord Jesus for all he has done.
Our hope is in the Lord.
"...through the instructions of Epaphras..." (verse 7)
Epaphras preached the gospel.
He was just one person.
Many came to believe in Jesus because of him.
God will bless your efforts, too.
Be that one person that makes a difference.
"Then you will lead a life worthy of the Lord
and pleasing to him in every way." (verse 10)
Be that special person God wants you to be.
Be pleasing to the Lord.
Do what you are called to do.
"...endure joyfully whatever my come..." (verse 11)
Things are not always easy.
You will have times of sorrow.
Three years ago today my sister died suddenly.
It was not easy for me.
(You can read what I wrote back on October 7, 1998
and the days that followed.)
There are still a few tears even after 3 years.
Sometimes I see someone that looks like her.
Is it her or not her?
I remind myself she is gone.
She is not there when we have our family get-togethers.
I miss her.
She is with the Lord I believe.
She loved Jesus very much.
There is joy that she is in heaven.
May we all be there together one day in heaven.
"Through him we have redemption,
the forgiveness of our sins." (verse 14)
Ask Jesus to forgive your sins today.
That is why he came --- to give you new life.
Ask and you will receive.
"In him everything in heaven and
on earth was created..." (verse 16)
It did not just happen.
God created all that you see.
He created our world.
He created you and gave you life.
"But you must hold fast to the faith,
be firmly grounded and steadfast in it,
unshaken in the hope promised you
by the gospel you have heard." (verse 23)
Hold on to your faith.
Do not be shaken no matter what happens.
Hold on to the promises of Christ.
"God has willed to make known to them
the glory beyond price..." (verse 27)
Here you know the truth.
You know all about Jesus.
It is beyond price what has been given to you.
What will you do with it?

(October 5, 2001 6:11 AM CDT)

Read Philippians 4 .

"Continue, my dear ones,
to stand firm in the Lord." (verse 1)
After all is said and done
what is there to hold on to?
Hold on to Jesus.
Don't let go.
Stand firm in the truth.
"Rejoice in the Lord always!" (verse 4)
He is there.
Jesus is your joy.
Let him comfort you and bring you joy.
"Dismiss all anxiety from your minds." (verse 6)
I hope and pray you can do this.
Don't worry.
The Lord is with you.
"Your thoughts should be wholly directed to all that is true,
all that deserves respect, all that is honest, pure,
admirable, decent, virtuous, or worthy of praise." (verse 8)
Bring your thoughts in line with Christ.
The battle is in your mind.
Think.
"In him who is the source of my strength
I have strength for everything." (verse 13)
How do people make it without the Lord?
How can you survive in this world without him?
He is your strength.
"My God in turn will supply your needs fully,
in a way worthy of his magnificent riches
in Christ Jesus." (verse 19)
God owns everything.
Just ask for what you need.
He is very generous.
Thank the Lord for his goodness.

(October 4, 2001 6:04 AM CDT)

Read Philippians 3 .

"But those things I used to consider gain
I have now reappraised as loss
in the light of Christ." (verse 7)
What is important?
The important things have changed since September 11.
God is very important.
Attendance at church has gone up.
The sale of Bibles is increasing.
Give Jesus the number 1 priority.
Things have changed.
"I wish to know Christ
and the power flowing from his resurrection..." (verse 10)
Learn more about him.
Know him.
He is the power that drives the universe.
He is life that never ends.
Believe in Christ and his resurrection.
"It is important that we continue on our course,
no matter what stage we have reached." (verse 16)
Keep moving.
Keep struggling.
Move toward the light of Christ.
Don't relax your efforts.
Keep focused on your goal.
"Such as these will end in disaster!" (verse 19)
Don't get lost.
It will end in disaster.
Stay near the Lord.
Know what is truly important.

(October 3, 2001 6:00 AM CDT)

Read Philippians 2 .

"Never act out of rivalry or conceit; rather,
let all parties think humbly of others
as superior to themselves..." (verse 3)
How do you look at yourself?
Are you that great?
Think humbly.
"He humbled himself, obediently accepting even death,
death on a cross!" (verse 8)
Jesus showed us the way.
He gave up everything for us.
He won for us eternal life.
"In everything you do,
act without grumbling or arguing..." (verse 14)
When the Lord asks you to do something
how do you do it?
What is your attitude?
You need a joy in your heart.
It is the work of the Lord.
"Shine like the stars in the sky
while holding fast to the word of life." (verse 15,16)
Be bright in these dark times.
Make someone smile.
Do something wonderful.
"Welcome him joyously in the Lord
and hold men like him in esteem..." (verse 29)
Epaphroditus must have been a wonderful person.
I hope the same can be said of you.
Do your best for the Lord Jesus.

(October 2, 2001 6:03 AM CDT)

I dug through my archives and found a picture of the
World Trade Center
from when I was there in May, 1986.
I went to the top of one of the towers.
Let us remember all who died there September 11th.
God be with their families.

Read Philippians 1 .

"I am sure of this much:
that he who has begun the good work in you
will carry it through to completion,
right up to the day of Christ Jesus." (verse 6)
You know Jesus.
Keep up the good work.
Complete your mission in this life.
You have been called to greatness.
"My prayer is that your love may more and more abound,
both in understanding and wealth of experience..." (verse 9)
Do you understand what you are doing?
Love your brothers and sisters.
This is very important.
Pass on your experience to others.
"All that matters is that in any and every way...
Christ is being proclaimed!" (verse 18)
We have another Christian radio station in Omaha (88.1 FM).
They are different than what we are used to,
but what matters is that the gospel is being proclaimed.
God bless their efforts.
"For to me, 'life' means Christ." (verse 21)
Your life is nothing without Christ.
Seek him.
Welcome him in.
He is newness every morning.
"For it is your special privilege to take Christ's part ---
not only to believe in him
but also to suffer for him." (verse 29)
It is tough to be a Christian.
You will be attacked.
You will suffer.
Be strong.
It is a privilege.

Read Ephesians 6 .

"Finally, draw your strength from the Lord
and his mighty power." (verse 10)
How will you survive?
Call on the Lord for his strength.
He is your power to keep you going.
"Our battle is not against human forces
but against the principalities and powers,
the rulers of this world of darkness,
the evil spirits in regions above." (verse 12)
I was thinking about this earlier this morning.
The enemy is Satan.
We have God on our side.
We have all the angels of heaven to help us.
We will win the battle.
"At every opportunity pray in the Spirit,
using prayers and petitions of every sort." (verse 18)
Let the Holy Spirit pray with you.
Our own words fall short.
We call on the Spirit to lead us in prayer.
Lord, hear our prayers through the Spirit.
"Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ
with unfailing love." (verse 24)
God bless you with his grace today.
